My bunch already knew about hompsexuals, we'd wait until they clustered up in the restroom at the city yacht pier, toss a couple of lit cherry bombs through the door, and run like hell! We called them something else!

I think you are right. Theres a movie that Garden State Equality wants shown.

I think the school doesn't need to teach my child about different family lifestyles or about being Gay. Some links for interested readers......

petition to sign against showing this film
http://www.gopetition.com/sign.php?petid=241 Steven Goldstein, the Chairman of the group Garden State Equality, says he's shocked that anyone would have a problem with this video, because it has won several awards and "it was shown at the White House in 2000- before educators and child advocates from across the country who praised the film." He adds if people don't feel comfortable with having their kids see That's a Family, "maybe New Jersey is not the right place for them."

Do you mean 28% of the people here?.... My child is 7 yrs old ...She does not need to see any movie this group promotes. I can very well explain diverse families to her . I don't need Garden State Equality Group Doing it for me nor her school. If that makes me out of my mind.. good. I don't take my child to the movies and she is still a child and watches movies meant for a child on DVD. I don't care what Gays do nor how they raise their own families. I don't bash them. However I will not have them telling me my child needs to be taught about homosexuality at her age or about their lifestyle and families.. I sure think Steven Goldstein has a lot of nerve telling people in NJ..... If people don't feel comfortable with having their kids see That's a Family, "maybe New Jersey is not the right place for them." What gives him the right to say that???

I don't understand either of your replies, when I voted 28% of the people in the poll said it was OK to teach homosexuality. I don't think anything about sex should be in public eductation, and homosexuality shouldn't even be up for debate to be taught about in high school, to talk about it to 7 year olds is sick.
Where did I say 28% of the people here??? How is saying homosexuality shouldn't be taught make me want Barack Obama UNLESS I read the pole wrong and the 72% were lunatics, someone tell me.

"I don't think 8 years old is too young to teach a child that homosexuality is an abnormality.
By teaching an eight-years-old or younger that homosexuality is abnormal, you'd be teaching the kid about homosexuality.
It's also NOT what the parents thinks about homosexuality, it's about what the child thinks and lies to the parents about what he thinks.
