As we settle into the nighttime of despair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!!
Good Morning! Please join us in discussing the day's events, large and small...
You can wear any Star of David you want. You're still 'Peach' in my eyes... ;^)
Mr. Soon to be Catholic
Oh, thank you, sweet you. That brought happy tears to my eyes.
So Mr. Soon To be Catholic, when's the big day? I was a Catholic until my dad left us when I was 8 and my mom married my stepdad (who I refer to as Dad) when I was 14. His father and brother were Episcopal priests until their deaths and we, of course, became Episcopalean. And then I got turned off the liberalism there so now I'm an Anglican.
This is probably more than you want to know :-) I'm babbling because I'm really, really nervous about getting this new computer with Vista. I'm so stupid with computers, it's pathetic.
My brother spent a half hour on the phone with me last night helping me download the address book in e-mail to my flash drive. If it wasn't for him, we'd be lost.
I'm gonna send you a private FReepmail. Gimme about half an hour or so...
Okay, I'll check back in after some dinner preparations. I'm so glad for you ABG. When I heard the Pope was considering saying mass in Latin again, well, a Latin mass is the most beautiful thing I've ever heard.
I'll check. Thanks.
I forgot to mention this in Peach's private message, but she'll know where it came from, but I thought I could share it with all of you. When I was but a little kid, my earliest memories were of a night in 1973 when this poor man said he was regigning the Presidency. Those DEMON RATS ran that good man from office, and I've been pissed off ever since...
I remember having a huge Nixon/Lodge poster in my bedroom.
Nixon: the best POTUS ever run out of office!!!
Yep--it's here
PS: I became a Republican in August, 1973...
Saw The Queen...
MOST EXCELLENT!!!!!!
One of the best films I've ever seen....
..the character development, the nuances, the ACTING!....but it never felt like acting...it felt like I was that proverbial fly on the wall in real life.
Kudos to the director and all the actors....each one brought his/her part to life!!!!!!!!!!!
It was good,, I liked it so much I saw it two more times at theater!!!
The first time I missed a lot of words.. combination of my forgetting hearing aids, soft Helen M voice & the accent.
The third time..
Just because.
HM did win the Golden Globe for best Actress. well deserved. Tough competition for academy IMHO.. some good work out there this year
I thought it uncanny how much the Young Tony Blair looked like him. I didn't think Cherie was a lookalike.. nor Charles, but the actions were.
I thought it would be an anti-monarchy thing...
..but it wasn't....it was balanced...beautifully balanced.
Actually, Cherie Blair comes off the worse...and yes, the actor portraying Tony is marvelous!!!!!!...and looks very like him.
Must run to Bible study.
I AM BACK!!! This wonderful guy came this evening and did all sorts of things to our computer, and boy does it work great!!!
woohoo
good for you. Have fun!
Was there a virus?
Anyway, the other thing he told me was to NOT allow the grandkids to download games (which my smart granddaughter figured out how to do) because they often carry viruses and spyware.
