"Can women OWN ladders?"

This is a question in my family. My dear father--who is perfect in every other way--always takes away my ladders. I've purchased three "goin'-up-to-the-roof" ladders in my life. Each time my dad BORROWS them, and "forgets" that they're mine.

My sisters and I joke about this. We think that he believes that--since I'm single--I'm not smart enough to use one! He's keeping them to save me from myself!

(I have one now, but Daddy doesn't know about it.)
