As we settle into the nighttime of dispair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!!
Good morning!!
We, here, will never forget those who died on September 11, 2001, as we seek to protect the Republic from all who will do her harm!!
It's over, he's gone. Saddam Hussein was hung last night in Iraq at just after 10 PM ET, or just after 6 AM ET local time.
The person who filmed the execution said that he saw fear in Saddam's eyes while he was on the gallows.
United States troops are said to be ready for a surge in violence, but the biggest event so far was spontaneous celebrating in Baghdad streets. The Government did not impose a 24-hour curfew.
A last minute appeal was lodged into the United States court system. The United States District Court summarily dismissed the measure, saying it had no jurisdiction over foreign matters.
Saddam was asked if he had anything to say, and he answered: "No, I don't want to." He did, however, say somthing before he was hung. His last words are: "'God is great. The nation will be victorious and Palestine is Arab."
True to the end, however, those who have no respect for human life, but coach themselves as watchers of human rigts, said things like that of Richard Dicker, director of Human Rights Watch's International Justice Program: "Saddam Hussein was responsible for massive human rights violations, but that can't justify giving him the death penalty, which is a cruel and inhuman punishment." In response to Mr. Dicker--one cannot hold life sacred unless one is willing to hold those repsonsible for taking in wihtout cause to the highest penalty. Fortunately, for Iraq, that has now come to pass, and the healing for many hundreds of thousands may begin.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
Bless your heart, lysie. Take care of yourself and don't over do,
It's good to see you backhoe. Happy New Year to you.
But it's not a diabetic condition....
..the wound healed ....the outward suture line healed....but the internal sutures (at least that's what I think he said) are being spit out.
What it looks like is two scabby forming thingies, but occasionally a suture opens it up a bit &...well, I won't give you all the gory details. :))
How many closets do you have MM, seems you and I Granny clean a lot of closets.
I haven't listened to any presstitutes about the demise of saddam. but I can imagine the "horror" they "felt" when the rope was put around his neck. But they didn't say anything about saddam giving his citizens acid baths or putting them thru shredders. They sure do pick and chose the "important things to talk about.
I'm thoroughly enjoying the lack of publicily about mssss pelosi's coronation.. I wonder if she'll wear purple and ermine for the occassion?
It's driving me nuts I can't remember the name of this cream. I know you don't have a diabetic condition, thankfully, but the cream has proven effective for other open-wound type problems. It's been miraculous for some people, but likely your doctor would know of it and would have used it if he thought it was appropriate.
Anyway, I certainly hope you start to heal and soon.
lysie, thanks for the link! That is a very cool site!
I'm interested in the root cellar plans, also.
How are you feeling?
That's the worst part, "it looks yucko".
I don't know what I do to make those open spaces...this one handed typing (left hand) is for the birds. My left hand doesn't know where the right handed keyes are.
I'm feeling fine, lysie, my arm with the cast gets tired and the cast robs against my bones, even though it's well padded it's uncomfortable.
On my view source it appears for some reason there are several <BRs)
I'm very happy that was accomplished. Greg would have done it, but he is visiting his mom. Besides, at times I get a kick out of doing housework behind his back. LOL
BBL
Happy New Year back to you- may it be a good one for all.
This morning instead of a closet I did the main bath, and threw away old make-up lipsticks, broken hairbrushes, expired medicines, etc. I then cleaned out the inside of all cabinets and drawers. Whew!
This afternoon I am going to tackle my side of the walk-in closet.
My doctor was very blase about it, but he doesn't have to run around with it looking this way.
When you said 'cream' I immediately thought you meant dairy...so it just has to be 'Skin Milk'...HA! ;-)
When I had my surgery this summer, my incisions healed nicely. Then, all of a sudden, the main wound looked infected and started draining. To cut off the story, I had what your doctor says you have. It is horrifying to the patient but I learned, not really an infection and all that important. I had to be patient and it, too, will pass.
It healed and then ....this stuff!
My doctor said it was rare for anyone to have a reaction to the sutures-(although it does happen).....so that makes you and I rare together :))
And he said exactly that....not really an infection.
And thanks for the encouragement!!!!!!!
