MINNETONKA, Minn. (Dec. 12, 2006) -- Minnesota Vikings defensive backs coach Joe Woods was charged with two counts of drunken driving.
Woods was pulled over by a state trooper shortly after 3 a.m. Dec. 9 while driving south on Highway 169 in Minnetonka, according to the criminal complaint filed by the city attorney's office.
The officer clocked him driving 63 mph in a 55-mph zone and crossing over lane lines without signaling on numerous occasions. Woods was arrested and later registered a .12 blood alcohol concentration on a breath test, .04 above the state's legal limit.
Asked about it at his Monday news conference, coach Brad Childress said he was aware of the situation but wouldn't publicly discuss any possible discipline for Woods.
Only the offensive, defensive and special teams coordinators under Childress are allowed to speak to the media. A Vikings spokesman declined comment.
With a team like his, no wonder he drinks.......
who cares about the queens? da bears stuck a fork in um.
I'm a Vikings fan, reluctantly, but this year I'm rooting for the Bears to go all the way!
I saw the Chargers-Broncos game this past Sunday. Man, the Chargers look awesome! A Chargers-Bears Super Bowl would be pretty cool!
Read your tagline. In your nightmare, did you get any hits? 8-)
Officer: Sir, I am giving you a ticket for a 306 - driving under the influence.
Drunk Driver: Well, you better make it a 612 cause I'm coming right back.
"The officer clocked him driving 63 mph in a 55-mph zone and crossing over lane lines without signaling on numerous occasions."
That describes 98% of the drivers in Houston.
Whats a defensive coach to do
At 6 and 7 he had the blues
So he drank more than he should
And now poor Joe Wood
Has a record of point one two
XL-ENT!.......
really? WOW!!!! ;)
Hester is amazing me! And Mark Anderson is pretty amazing also! sheesh...
The PTI guys were talking today, in relation to the Bengal arrests, how the new owner and coach in Minnesota came in and turned the organization around by getting people with morals. Guess they let one bad seed slip through.
