The Hobbit Hole XXXII - Sweet is the sound of falling rain
The Freeper Hobbit Hole Blog ^ | December 1, 2006

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

Hard to tell... if it didn't go through it should bounce back to you in 24 hours, but that doesn't always work. Just no way to really tell without contacting him and asking if he got it.

Made it to the compost pile? still breezy and chilly waiting for spring to sprung.

This Visio stuff isn't too bad because I'm generating it programatically from a database of railroad track.

This sounds like something that would interest model railroaders.

Think I'll give it a pass since it warms up on Monday and daylight savings time comes early this year.

I put up the navy blue shower curtain...it sure works a lot better with that garishly cheerful orange than the green did.

Oooh, cool...

Went shopping. We got a tile saw (el cheapo) and a finish nailer (less cheapo) and hopefully those are the last tools to finish our project... we think all we'll still have to buy is some tile for the bartop, next weekend, and the room furnishings.

Today we have to finish cleaning up, and finish the ceiling stuff, and then tomorrow hopefully lay the floor. It's looking so nice down there!

If'n you have a lot of tile to cut you might want to consider renting an electric, water-cooled tile cutter. We rented one when we tiled the kitchen back-splash and it was faster, cleaner, and more cost-effective ('cause we ruined less tile). Just something to think about. LSA

Blue and orange are good together!! I wouldn't call your orange ~garish~, it's just a "wake you up in the morning" color!! LSA

Well I wanted a bathroom that says "Good Morning, Sunshine!"

It just needs a little toning down and the blue curtain does it.

That's what I was afraid of. I tried another from the Comcast site to my Outlook address and it went thru.

It's a mighty rough road from Lynchburg to Danville,

Wonder why nobody sings about plane crashes

We only have a few pieces, maybe two dozen at most, to cut, so we figured a cheapo tile saw that was usable on our timetable rather than a rental, would be the way to go. If we do a bigger project though, yeah, we'll prtobably rent.

Rosie - that's a good catch.

Shipwrecks and Train wrecks seem to be more popular though.
