Last May I lost my cat, George, to a coyote that was sitting right outside my front door. I let George out and that was it. I couldn't get to my gun fast enough. Since then I have eliminated six coyotes at long range with a police sniper Remington 700 .308. Amazing how fast nature can jump into our lives without expecting it.
I always get a kick every time my cats swap at me when I walk by. Of course, they're being playful, but it really cracks me up.
Glad you enjoy the thread.
BTW, my cat also has a fondness for leather or any article of clothing someone has sweated on. Cats are nuts!
Maybe it's time to clean it out.
Oh, you should see my cats' reaction to my red fox Russian hat. They go crazy.
Another fun activity they loved as kittens (no more) was chewing the shoelaces off my shoes.
After numerous times trying on my shoes to find slobber on lace stubs, I had to lock up my shoes.
Thankfully they've grown out of this habit!
Very sorry to hear about George's demise. What a shock that must have been for you.
Nevermind.
Gosh, another cat destroyed by the glories of nature! I didn't think I'd be picking off scabs from old wounds with this thread!
Sorry to hear about your little one. Hope you get another little George soon.
Mine is busy following the laser pointer as I trace it across the ceiling and try to make her run into stuff.
How long will she play that game before she gets tired or gives up?
A few years ago friends of mine had an elderly gentleman visit them. He sat on the sofa and just the top of his head was visible. I should mention he had a big mop of totally white hair.
Their white angora cat was just waking up from a nap in the dining room, looked into the living room and saw this white head of hair. Thinking his home had been invaded by a big white cat he ran 90 miles an hour from the dining room, through the hall and into the living room. He leapt upon the elderly gentleman's head and dug in for the kill.
The poor old guy just about had a heart attack.
Dizzy (the kitten) just jumped on behind Deimos, and is trying to get him to play-fight.
G-d only knows what Zia is up to.
That must have been a riot! I sure hope they all had a good laugh about it!
We had to put one of our cats to sleep last week. I was thinking exactly the same thing! Thanks for the chuckle! (He was old, he lived a good life, and it was his time. Hey, he was a cat!)
We can't stop laughing every time we talk about it - and we weren't event there.
Poor kitty. She was just trying to defend her territory.
Unfortunately, my cat Olive likes to sleep in the street too.
I'm glad it's not too busy of a street.
She does this for a while until I get up and go to the bathroom.
