My cat Luvvy is licking the back of my head... What is your cat doing right now? [VANITY]
Silly

Right now, my brown tiger Luvvy (Luverne) is sitting on the table behind me, licking my head. She has lost interest in the Hitchcock film I'm watching.

Other favorite activities of her and her littermate sister Lily:

Gently gnawing on my pinky or biting my nose.

Playing fetch with fuzz balls.

Howling in pain while I sing in the shower, until I stop.

Playing "kissy" (sitting on my chest while I lay down, and offering me each side of her face in turn so I can kiss it. They get bored after about 12 kisses).

Falling asleep on either side of me, each wrapping her arms around one of my hands (they've done this since kittens).

Licking the lid of my Haagen Dazs as soon as I open the pint (no matter what flavor).

Sitting on anything new I bring home.

Crawling into shopping bags.

Perching on the highest spot they can find, then staring fixedly at one spot for half an hour.

Appearing at the top of the ladder to my loft bed with pens in their mouths.

What are your cats' favorite or peculiar activities?

These cats are completely mental, I swear. But they sure do have a lot of love to give!

Mine has become a permanent addition to the sofa. I'm afraid of trying to remove him because he may have grafted himself to it.

The pug is listening to Maria Callas in Il Trovatore, and going nuts. He must think someone is being stabbed.

Pookie is sleeping on my foot. Later, she will burrow under the covers on the bed and sleep curled up most of the night.

All seven of them holed up and huddled together in the shed, sitting out the cold front.

I was waiting for someone to start a similar thread about what their pet snapping turtles were doing.
I've been waiting a long time.
Shelly is finishing up a meal and waiting to go back in his tank.
Thanks for asking.
:)

I'm still mourning over my little calico "Tokay" who succumbed last winter to a great eagle that apparently had mistakened her for a squirrel. I never believed an American bald eagle would attack a cat but I saw it happened and watched in horror as my declawed little pet was screaming in terror while she was lifted 100 feet over my yard. I ran after the flight of the raptor but could not catch up...finally, I suppose the cat bit the eagle's talons because I saw her drop to her death over my street--it was a horrible experience!
