I'm ready for the big payoff from this election. I think it's time to just push the Dems to deliver everything they promised PLUS some.

1) I want them to fully fund stem cell research, fetal, adult, geriatric, I just don't care where the stem cells come from, I want the miracles they promised to be delivered, and it better be quick.

2) I want every damn illegal immigrant to become naturalized citizens. I want to see them taking my order at McDonald's so my kid can be the rocket scientist I know he can be.

3) I want our troops pulled out of Iraq, Afghanistan, and anywhere else. I want American boots on American soil. NOW. I want to see them on boats coming back here within the first 100 days of Democratic control.

4) I want Universal Health Care, Universal Legal Care, Universal ass wiping. I want UNIVERSAL everything.

5) I want the government to tax, tax, tax the oil and petroleum industries to the point where they no longer make one red profitable cent. I want free gas.

6) I want them to start the impeachment process of President Bush, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld. I don't care if they did anything wrong, I want Cindy Sheehan and Michael Moore to be the chief witnesses against them. I think we could even get Castro, the petite Iranian President whats-his-name, Hugo Chavez and lil Kim from North Korea to testify against them. I want a free Babs concert too.

7) I want the minimum wage raised to 20 or 30 dollars an hour. I want that within the first 100 days as well.

8) I want lots more, but am too exhausted thinking how wonderful life is going to be now!

I want them to raise income taxes and all other taxes for my own good, and to erase the deficit overnight.

I want two men or two women to be able to marry just like everyone else.

I want homeschooling and truancy criminalized.

I want marijuana decriminalized.

I want my privacy protected the same way they've protected the privacy of Mark Foley.

I want every covert method of surveillance used to detect terrorist activity exposed by public hearings and the people responsible for same to be prosecuted.

I want them to stop supporting Israel, because our support for Israel is the onlyiest reason the Moslems are so angry with us.

...and more Democrats. I hope the Republicans have more to offer in 2008 than Hagel, much less a freshman class that's worth a s**t waiting in the wings two years from now. With this election, Democrats get a new lease on life so that they can guarantee a continuation of the slow descent in all branches of government over the past few decades.

It was a sad night for us - but so far, I don't see the sort of angst and pitiful dejection that the Democrats exhibited after losing previous elections.

He will never be Dan Rather - I'm watching Shep continuously stressing to the American people that they need to wake up and realize that terrorists are out there and they want to kill us. This election does not reflect a nation concerned about this fact.

I'm sorry, I thought I read you said "protect" and "Mark Foley" in the same sentence. Also, truancy is already criminalized. I don't think (I hope) social medicine is not passed...it doesn't really work well anywhere in the world and its expensive. I don't think, even controlling both houses, that the dems will be able to pass it. As for raising taxes, it may come to that. Remember, this was that was to cost us 80 billion dollars has pushed above $300 billion so far and is costing 2 billion a WEEK. I think that before taxes are raised though, I think we should seriously look at how the gov is spending money. I think one of the most serious problems the gov has is the inability to fire the incompetent. Regardless of who is in power, this government needs to clean house. We need to get rid of the pork, get rid of a lot of the subsidies and cut back on some of the stupid programs that are being funded.
