If anyone would like to help me out, I'm doing a research paper on women and national security. (Sorry, guys, my topic had to be related to my gender.) I decided to make up a survey. So if you're female and you would like to help me, you can either post here or you can FReepmail me your responses. Either way is fine. I'd REALLY appreciate it if you can help! Thanks :)
1. When voting, how important is national security to you (on a scale of 1 to 10)? Explain why.
2. Do you agree with President Bush's national security policy? Why or why not?
3. How does the United Nations affect the national security of the United States?
4. Do you think that security moms played a major role in the 2004 presidential election? Explain why.
5. Who do you believe has contributed the most to the national security of the United States? Why?
2) Yes I agree with President Bushs grand theme of National Security. To make it better I would prefer to see a greater importance on border security, and our shipping security. What really is coming into our Country?
3) In my opinion UN hampers our ability to secure ourselves, especially on an international scale. They put up to many barriers to our protecting ourselves and our allies. Recent examples are the way they are handling Iran and North Korea.
4) While I believe President Bush did much better with women, and mothers in general, I think it was more part of the wimpiness of John Kerry, and the moral leadership of President Bush. He just made moms feel safer.
5) The number one champion of National Security is our proud, wonderful, strong Armed Services. Of course they are under the direction of our wonderful President. Without these fine men and women in uniform, the best Commander in Chief in the world would not be effective. Thank God for them!
a true blessing to the astute man

Thanks! :)
OH AWESOME!
Be sure to PING ME! PLEASE!
1. When voting, how important is national security to you (on a scale of 1 to 10)? Explain why.
Very. I have children adn want them to have a secure future
2. Do you agree with President Bush's national security policy? Why or why not?
Mostly, I dont like his softness on the Mexico border issue but otherwise I support it.
3. How does the United Nations affect the national security of the United States?
I think it is dangerous to the United States.
4. Do you think that security moms played a major role in the 2004 presidential election? Explain why.
Yes. Because we think.
5. Who do you believe has contributed the most to the national security of the United States? Why?
Our military. That doesnt need explanation.
10 --- unless we're secure, little else matters.
2. Do you agree with President Bush's national security policy? Why or why not?
Absolutely, but I want a no nonsense, get tough policy on our borders, for example, federal troops on the Mexican border, severe punishment for employers, the end to sanctuary cities and immediate deportation of those caught entering.
3. How does the United Nations affect the national security of the United States?
I have no use for the UN. Bolton is great, but the UN's SC is comprised of member nations that do not share our goals or national interests.
4. Do you think that security moms played a major role in the 2004 presidential election? Explain why.
Overrated. Women vote and thankfully, we're not all democrat robots. Am I a national security mom, or just a woman who voted for President Bush and a straight GOP ticket because I do not trust democrats with national security or economic and domestic issues as well?
5. Who do you believe has contributed the most to the national security of the United States? Why?
Our Commander in Chief, our military, the GOP congress who supports them, and us for electing said congress. *disclaimer* - not my complete thoughts --- just in general.
Thanks :) FReepers rock!
Oh, no, I have to think....
1. When voting, how important is national security to you (on a scale of 1 to 10)? Explain why.
It's a 10 - We lose our security, we've lost it all.
2. Do you agree with President Bush's national security policy? Why or why not?
Not entirely. One of the first things I thought he should do was secure our borders. I'm aghast that we're 6 years down the road from our terror epiphany and we still have porous borders.
3. How does the United Nations affect the national security of the United States?
Not one bit, unless they negatively affect it.
4. Do you think that security moms played a major role in the 2004 presidential election? Explain why.
No, I don't. I'm not sure "security moms" as a group exists.
5. Who do you believe has contributed the most to the national security of the United States? Why?
MOST, would be the military and FBI (or whoever it is that walks the dark halls of internet tapping/wire tapping/watching banking transactions, and going after the bad guys on our soil. And of course, a President who is taking the lead and not backing down.
AND, a gracious God who blesses those who bless Israel, and will watch our back, I believe, as long as we honor that command.
**Oh, no, I have to think**
Lol that was my reaction about having to write the paper ;) Thanks for answering!
a true blessing to the astute man

Hi Steve! I pinged Nina in post #9. Maybe she'll respond to you. ;*)
Who knows? It's worth a try. Have a good one.
LOL! You have a great day, too! BTW, it was good to see you again last month. Wish we had had more time to chat.
It was good to see you, too. I don't get up to events as often as I'd like.
