CINCINNATI (AP) - Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Odell Thurman was arrested early Monday on a drunken driving charge.

Thurman, already serving a four-game suspension for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy, registered 0.18 percent on a blood-alcohol test — more than twice the legal limit of 0.08 percent, according to the police arrest report.

Police said Thurman, who drove an SUV across a double-yellow line, was stopped about 3 a.m. near a sobriety checkpoint operated by police and the State Highway Patrol.

FWIW, another DUI for an NFL guy. Here's the kicker: he had a completely sober passenger who thought it best to let the intoxicated one drive the car.

"Your friend is blind?!?"

"Yep!"

"So why is HE driving?"

"Because he's the only one that's sober!"

I thought it was Uma. The pictures on this thread, if any, will be decidedly below the quality level I anticipated.

I wonder if he lives near a bus line?

It'll help him get to work quicker at his new job at the lumber yard.

Was the sober passenger WR Chris Henry? If so, he's got about 8 court trials coming up for himself....

No id on his passenger, but I understand that Henry prefers to travel in Limos and with an entourage(according to one of his arrest reports).

Hey! Oh WOW. I hadn't heard he was involved in this episode. But you're right, he'd be much better off hanging out with, I dunno, maybe the punter. For fun they could practice punt returns by moonlight.

Thanks for the update!

Idiot extraordinaire. If he's worried about maintaining the pimp daddy image, since it isn't cool to be seen coming and going in a taxi, he could've hired a limo.

Way to kill a budding career, dopehead. Keep it up and ten years from now, you'll still have the lifestyle. The only difference is, you'll be getting high and drunk with the bag ladies in a skid row vacant lot and home will be under a bridge.
