Hey guys!!
Thank you, Meg :)
P Ko Tro.
Beautiful posting devolve!
I was on my way to work that day and heard about the first plane hitting. I was at work and heard about the second one. We had trouble getting any kind of news, the internet was overwhelmed.
In my office, my coworkers went to prayer service on their lunch time. The director got angry about that, said this tragedy was none of our business. My coworkers were in trouble over that.
We lit candles in my neighborhood, on our front porches that night.
My church ignored the whole thing, none of our business I guess. I complained about that attitude, we could at least pray for people. My husband led prayers for those lost when no one else would.
We found out three weeks later that my husband's cousin was killed in the Pentagon. It took a while to find his body. The highest ranking officer killed there, I was told.
May I post on the singles thread?
Great picture. Silent Johnny is an artist?
Love it.
Maximus!!
Boy...what a day!
Thank you very much for the link to the Daryl Worley song, "Have You Forgotten." I passed it around to my Email friends.
Tell me you did NOT do anything dumb, regarding that girl.........
Jack. Please. Give the man some credit.
So what happened?
No, nothing happened at work today. It was actually pretty slow and boring.
However, and I've been telling Max about this, my downstairs flooded earlier this week. Well, the situation's becoming a nightmare.
The water's all dried up, but today we had to move ALL our valuables out of the house and go throught it ALL to see what was damaged and what wasn't.
Then we called some water damage specialists to come and look at the house. They had to rip up our carpet completely, and take everything out, and then they had to put about 10 gigantic turbo-fans everywhere to blow constantly for 3 days until it is positive the water is all gone and there's no more threat of mold and mildew.
So the downstairs, (where I live, btw), is a complete warzone right now. I'm sitting here on the computer, and the whole thing is torn apart, and junk is everywhere, and the fans are so loud you can't hear a thing, and all the windows are opened, yadda yadda yadda...
Going upstairs to watch a movie. See y'all in a couple.
I don't blame you! Go enjoy your movie.
Poor guy.
I am confused as to why the Director would complain that your co-workers went to a prayer meeting during their lunch hour - it was not as if they took time off work.
I am surprised that your church ignored it as well I would have thought they would have at least prayed for the families that lost loved ones.
Sorry to hear about your cousin it must have be awful waiting all those weeks for confirmation he had died.
What can I say that I haven't already said......you have a gift from God.
Anyone ever wonder what the lyrics are to
Enya's "Only Time"
that is played in the background of some 9/11 memorials online, such as in this excellent tribute:

http://www.lyricsstyle.com/e/enya/onlytime.html
Who can say where the road goes
Where the day flows, only time
And who can say if your love grows
As your heart chose, only time
Who can say why your heart sighs
As your love flies, only time
And who can say why your heart cries
When your love lies, only time
Who can say when the roads meet
That love might be in your heart
And who can say when the day sleeps
If the night keeps all your heart
Night keeps all your heart
Who can say if your love grows
As your heart chose
- Only time
And who can say where the road goes
Where the day flows, only time
Who knows? Only time
Anyone still floatin' around here?
(BTW-- I was not trying to be mean-- I just do not want you to fall "prey to a trap"--one which could hurt you immensely. )
