Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Mawwage is what bwings us togethew today!

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

How many posts are we up to now?

I'm not sure, but we're well over 300,000.

Heh... that's not how it's supposed to work.

We're having a really slow Sunday. Only now getting our act together to hit church. Ugh. On the plus side I got about ten thank you notes addressed. They've been sitting here for days just needing an address. I feel guilty.

I'm having a hard time getting going, too. Think I'm going to go to the noon Mass here.

Speaking of notes and addresses, can you send me your current address?

Yeah, we have to walk out the door in two minutes here to make it. We'll make it... I'll get you the address this afternoon. Shipping or house address or both? ;-)

At least shipping. But both would be good. ;-)

Yes, it's a bit brisk however I can confirm the old saying that goes something like "He who splits his own wood is warmed twice". Got most of the bigger rounds split into halves and quarters.

Just to clear up any confusion, OB split the wood, LSA didn't :-)

Well don't you want LSA to be doubly warm too? :)

Well I got the battery in the garage smoke detector changed. Now I can't get the stoopid thing back up there.

OK, so *maybe* writing in the first person about committing murder isn't the greatest preparation for church...

Oh, LSA did her fair share, she got the splits loaded, moved, and stacked in the north wood pile; plus restacking and sorting the wood already there. I'd say we're both 'doubly warmed' now.

Dinner is going to be egg foo yung and kung pao chicken (extra spicey) and steamed rice. Hmmmmm. There's at least one dinner and a lunch in the 'take home' box. hmmmm.

My main gal wasn't a very nice person in the past.

So she just brained someone in a flashback.

First Lunch was some of that rosemary/garlic chicken I made last night. I'll fix a salad in a little bit. I also have a spaghetti squash, veggie, cheese, and egg casserole in the oven. It ought to turn out edible.

*Sigh* I'll have to clear out the old tomato vines this week. It seems that it's a favorite rabbit habitat.

We missed. It was too late by the time we got out the door so we did our errands instead. We'll make the 6:00.

Murder in the first person is always fun.

It seems that it's a favorite rabbit habitat.

'round here, tomater plants are a favorite cattle dog habitat. The pups are still disappointed that there are no more tomatoes to eat.

I don't think the rabbits were eating the tomatoes...can't see a rabbit climbing the vines. They just like hiding out under them.

I am in the Phoenix Metro area.

I used to live in the Twin Cities.

I am feverishly figuring out how I can save enough to become a snowbird.

Perhaps if I charged admission to the crevo threads? ;-)

Cheers!

Oh, yes, by the way, Prescott: they used to have an outdoors Shakespeare festival there. We were going for several years, bringing the real "grey whiskers" along to romp in the grass on her leash, but the organizers abruptly moved the festival INDOORS, ruining it for us.

Something about a lightning bolt during a thunderstorm hitting the speakers...(during the week, not during a performance).

Cheers!
