Yawn...
Izzit Friday yet? It's been such a long week already.
been called werse...
I gave a great, super-last minute briefing today. Word came thru the grapevine that the recipients were raving about it hours later. rah rah me.
Then certain powers that be get all hot and bothered because they didn't get to review the slides first. Nevermind they were in a mtg all morning and entirely unavailable and nevermind they have seen and approved every slide before (it was a cut-n-paste chop-job, but durn good). Urgh.
Ungh.
I spent all morning twiddling my thumbs and trying to figure out if the previous temp *ever* tested the code he wrote (answer: no. He also used gotos). Then in the afternoon every two minutes I had these two accountant chicks bugging me because I hadn't put the logic in to the macro I wrote them last week that handled Canadian accounts. Of course it was incredibly obvious that Canadian accounts would do X and require Y and need Z enacted before that, how stupid could I be?
I always think of this place as a conversation, and speaking the name of "The Scottish Play", is bad luck, so "break a leg"! Maybe why you almost had your email accident -- bad luck in advance!
The use of GOTO in VB (or any other third-generation or higher language) is a classic sign of a stolid, unimaginative mind.
WooHooo!! We're up to .68" of rain for the day--maybe I can throw some grass seed out tomorrow (after I get back from the Republican Headquarters, more mailings tomorrow for our local candidate, don't cha know). Anything to beat the Dem candidate like a drum (I've had dealings with him in my former life)
We've been getting a steady rain...haven't been out to check the gauge. I need to get some topsoil to fill in the bobcat tracks before putting out seed. I'm probably too late for this season.
Wha?
Ookay.
We're at the beach in Ft. Morgan AL. Gorgeous! It's the Redneck Riviera.
*snort* South Pole
Forcing bulbs is not too hard; just be sure to read the directions. I've done amaryllis and paper white narcissus.
Can you rent kayaks anywhere?
Flat Fatima!
So did y'all enjoy kayaking?
Nice job on the windows!
