vanity. World War Three. I believe it is this serious.

Posted on 08/25/2006 9:01:34 AM PDT by se_ohio_young_conservative

With Iran and North Korea becoming nuclear powers. We are running out of time. It is decision time very soon.

this is my opinion of what needs to happen. Correct me where I am ignorant.

it is time to

1. Reinstate a large scale draft

2. Re position troops in Iraq and issue "fallout warnings".

3. I know the President likely has an updated siop plan in his desk or on it. I personally believe that there are plans for some type of Nuclear strike.

4. Do the plan. Nuke the government out..disconnect Teran from the rest of the country. and pound the hell out of the supposed nuke sites across the county of Iran. Limited ground troops. Let China and Russia come in and do whatever they want with the oil.

5. Build up troops along the South Korean/N Korean border. Start a large scale air attack on North Korea, take out their Nuke sites. Wait and see if the North invades the south. If they do, they are in for a hell of a fight. We are talking Korean war pt 2 with a different set up and higher stakes

6. Issue Nuclear warnings in the United States. through out all of this we are under the threat of a nuclear attack from ANY direction.

7. Release all of the oil reserves, Be prepared for 5 to 10+ dollar gas and a stock market slide. state of emergency in every state. Marshall law at times if needed.

8. Put nation on high alert of chemical, biological warfare and suicide bombers with the following.

8. Have a massive build up of ally troops on bases in Europe. Have some force on the ground protecting Israel.

WW3, yes. This may take 5 or 10 years to win. but our children and grandchildren are worth it.

What if I have health problems that would make it impossible for me to get accepted ? can you be more personable ?

I don't really view myself as military material, but if a draft comes, I will serve to the utmost of my ability, such as it is. Health problems, or any other problems, be damned.

No doubt. I can't decide if the op needs to play more America's Army, or less.

Ignore the naysayers on this thread. Sorry there are not more like you. Freedom isn't free. My husband and I served during Vietnam. My husband was drafted and I followed. Had to drop out of college. Lost our house since the Army only paid a total of 125.00 a month. Didn't get to go back to school 'til I was forty and had four children. We felt it a priviledge to have served. Probably learned more in two years than any other period of my life.

As far as WW3, how stupid does one have to be to not know it strarted in 1978? As Americans, we have grown soft and kept our heads in the sand for too long. For most, a beer in one hand and a remote in the other is all that's required---and a requirement that none of us rain on their parade.

From your homepage - "I love my country. So many people do not realize how blessed we are here."

So tell me patriot, what have YOU done to support and protect your country?

I dont think people are willing to sacrafice here at home.

We could wake up one morning and gas could be 13.90 a gallon.

People would be jumping up and down, going crazy. People would blame the political party and politicians in power.

People do not want to give up their cable tv and their McDonalds, let alone lights, heating and cooling, technology. What if we had to resort to burning wood for heat and LIGHT ? what if we had to find other ways to get from place to place. we have people in this country that throw a fit about waiting in line at the mall ? WHAT is there are no malls. What if we have to survive as a nation at a time of peril.

the adults of this generation will face huge questions.

What are we willing to sacrafice to save our freedom at home ?

Iran's President saying he would sacrafice half of Iran to destroy Israel. There are people here in the US that would not sacrafice much of anything here to save our freedom.

If we were as passionate about our freedom as the terrorists are about their hate...the war would be over.

For once, I think you are right...barely. Yes, people in the US are not willing to sacrIfice here at home. We, as a Nation, have become lazy.

However, you are presenting a "solution" that would ensure the death of this country and its ideals.

I say you need to go back to DU where you belong.

Of course, because it's usually their fault. The government keeps the price of oil artificially high through taxation, limitations on new oil exploration and foreign interventions. If the price of gas suddenly jumped, I'd know exactly who to blame first.

Fallout is vastly overrated. The 50s scare novels did all the scaring they could do, but in the meantime some 2000 nukes have been tested, most above ground and it wasn't going to stop until somebody noticed the strontium was making bird egg shells somewhat thin. If somebody is getting paranoid about fallout they ought to buy a shovel, and to really ease their mind start digging and find a couple boards to put over the pit to keep some of the rain out. The Y2K stash will do just fine for rations until the radioactivity dies down enough so the children don't glow in the dark from eating dirt.

Of course...because nuking Iran won't subject the USA to action from the Islamo fascists around the world...

What do YOU propose, What do YOU think ?

More UN. More Kofi Annan. more AlBaredi. more resolutions. should we send troops into Iran ? What about Korea ? and how will be get the UN on our side.

or do we just sit back and watch Iran and North Korea become nuclear powers.

and life everyday knowing that a terrorist organization has access to nukes.

let me show you something. Have you seen the Nick Berg beheading. Paul Johnson, Daniel Pearl, do a search. now... IMAGINE the guys that would slice someones head off screaming "ALLAH AKBAR" would do with Nuclear and Chemical weapons.

I am not saying my way is the answer. but we need to do something extreme.

Tell you what...get yourself on a ballot with that as a proposed platform...we'll see how many votes you get.

What you are proposing will spell the death of the USA as we know it.

watch Iran and North Korea become nuclear powers

It's a little late--60 years too late. Any country can do this and nobody even has a right to stop them.
