BANGKOK, Thailand - The suspect in the murder of JonBenet Ramsey visited a Bangkok clinic specializing in sex-change operations and cosmetic surgery, clinic officials said Sunday.
Dr. Thep Vechwijit, a doctor at the Pratunam Polyclinic, said John Mark Karr, 41, had been his patient but declined to provide further details. "He was one of my patients," Vechwijit said.
A staffer at the clinic, who spoke on condition of anonymity because she was not authorized to speak to the media, said Karr had consulted the doctor about a sex-change operation.
Karr was to be flown later Sunday to the United States to face charges of first-degree murder, kidnapping and child sexual assault in connection with the 1996 killing of 6-year-old Ramsey.
Thai police said that Karr was "a bit nervous" Sunday as Thai and U.S. officials prepared to fly him back to the United States.

Faaat in an elevator! That's me.
LOL.
Faaat in an elevator, then with a funny look on your face look around to see who did it.
;-)
Who, Jean-Marquet or the OP?
What, you want me to read the article?
Karr is a repulsive creep and his 15 minutes of fame is just about up. A year from now no one will remember his/her name.
Maybe. But ih will remain forever in the FR archives
If the DNA doesn't match (which I don't think it will) will his pervert a$$ be shipped back to Bangkok? Also, why wasn't his DNA and handwriting confirmed BEFORE he was returned to the U.S.? Oh, that's right! When its taxpayers money, money is no object!
The early part of the note is written "nervously" and it is off the wall. Then he gets a grip and got to the personal stuff becoming insulting and making sure to mention the southern tie...(a mistake).
If that SBTC was an old "childhood" thing, his brother might be able to help us out.
I believe "Victory" comes before the S.B.T.C. in the note. One without the other makes little sense.
Someplace, there's a cache of his writings. Finding them will be another thing. Did he ever write to his brother? Send cards? We really need something from that time period....handwritten.
He also used this phrase in the yearbook: "Sometimes, so blurred by my own eyes, I've seen the best things come and go simultaneously;"
When he was questioned about the murder, the suspect described the encounter as a "blur".
The only time I have seen or used that word is on FR....when something brings tears to our eyes and the screen is "blurry". It is NOT a common word to describe a "brutal murder". It implies "tears". Was he crying when he killed her? Is the DNA in her private area "His Tears". Was it Victory crying?
The target was John Ramsey and people like him (Rich and powerful). The means of "killing him" and all he represented was "killing his daughter".
You mean sex organ mutilization clinic. There is no such thing as a sex change.
DNA has to be done and witnessed by certified labs, double checked and there is the "chain of custody" thing. Be Patient!
Do you think we would accept a DNA anaylsis that was shipped overseas in a courtroom so even if we do have a preliminary test, it's not what we want to use in court. It's an opening for reasonable doubt.
Speaking of which ...

You're thinking too much....... go out in the garden.
(just kidding)
I think he's already gotten some shots or something. When I first saw him on the news being shoved through the crowd, he looked like he had breasts. I was thinking he's too young to have "old man" breasts and he certainly isn't overweight.
I saw them too.
Perky little things. Quite a turn-on on him, eh?
;-)
Whether Mr. Karr is guilty or innocent of the Ramsey slaying, he's still a grade-A weirdo who needs to be locked up if he's actually innocent.
Did you go to school? In NY, we learned punctuation in 4th grade.
I think this dude is on the A+Bert nerve tonic program.
great observation....
