Call any Tech Support line, or your bank for that matter. Do you get a fellow American on the other end? Or do you get someone in India that can't help you and just gives you the run around because they don't know any better (which doesn't matter because you can't understand them anyway!). This is not only happening in the Call Center field, but in Technology, Animation and other Media and so forth. This takes away millions of jobs from Americans and at the same time, we have millions of people coming from India who are getting grants to buy or open their own businesses in which they only hire others of their own kind or treat you like a slave if your not. News has it that India is on the rise..of coarse they are!....We're helping them and suffering because of it. In the hotel industry, Indians are buying the hotels left and right, cutting down on staff and making the remaining American staff work three times as hard for minimum wage while they put other Indians who have no clue in what they're doing, in charge, giving orders and making the big bucks. The American workers have no choice but to deal with it in the communities where work has become scarce. This is why America is in such bad shape! We are not helping third world countries..we're hanging ourselves!
I am mentioning India because the last hotels I've worked at were owned by Indians and I see how they are. I work for them now because I have no where else to go. But they are probably just using me too because I work for cheap. And after all I've done to get this hotel running again, I'll probably just get it up the (you know what)so one of their relatives can take it over after all the problems are solved.

Let's not kid ourselves, folks. This is ALL about money, nothing more. Some gibber-speaking Indian who will politely tell you to pound sand comes for a tenth the price of an American who has been on the job for all of two days.
In my experience, support desks pay squat, work their people like field hands, and scream over every little slipup. Then they wonder why they can't keep any trained help. If you can last 6 months in that pressure cooker, you're considered "senior" and the job demands actually increase. But you DO get an extra nickel an hour!
I wasn't trying to offend you. I'm simply trying to offer some friendly advice.
You'll notice I refrained from calling a "ZOT", calling you a "troll", etc.

And that it is, if done correctly. Vanities, as I stated earlier, should be posted under "General/Chat".
The "News" section is reserved for just that - news. Irregardless of the merits of your opinions on a particular subject, un-sourced personal diatribes do not meet the definition of "news".
Laws getting passed without a vote from "We the people" also get my goat, but that's another issue.
And would be a good topic for discussion, if done correctly. I can think of two ways to do this:
1.) Post your thoughts to General/Chat for discussion.
2.) Use Google News to search for a news article which pertains to a topic you wish to discuss. Post the article to News/Activism. You may then post your thoughts/comments in response to the article.
I think a troll would apply to someone who knows better and not a first timer.

I know the outsourcing is about the money and they can get people to work for 10 cents an hour. I was generally stating that as well as businesses outsourcing, were making it very easy for people from certain countries (and no, it's not just India) to come in, get grants (that they don't even have to repay) to open or buy businesses when the unemployment rate in America rises and they want our left limbs for a grant for us to open or buy a business. I know a lot of people are saying that I'm whining, but it was people whining about things untill they had enough that founded this country

I also happen to be raised in Judaism, went to Sunday school at a Southern Babtist Church after my father re-married, I guess that makes me 3 times a loon. I believe in a Holy Spirit, but I just refuse to classify myself under a religion that massacred thousands upon thousands of lives in a Holy War because they did not have the same beliefs
Ah!....maybe this is why some people don't have anything to say but only post nasty little comments. I think you're absolutely right, not enough people are willing to stand up and be heard. America has even let mandatory auto insurance laws, as well as other laws, and has even declared war..all without a vote from the people.
More jobs are being insourced to America than are being outsourced to foreign countries. In general, the jobs being insourced are better, higher paying jobs than the jobs being outsourced.
So, you are wrong. Shaddup. Go find something useful to do.

And I was not only downplaying outsourcing, I was stating outsourcing along with businesses being taken over or bought by immagrants coming in to the country who only hire their own or replace American workers with more people from their country is costing more and more Americans their jobs...."Hod yer Gob" and read the posts before ya tell anyone to "Shaddap"
Excuse me? Where's your proof of that? Nothing in what the poster wrote can be construed to be subconcious racism. He may not like Indians (based on personal experience) but it is a real stretch to accuse somebody you don't know of subconcious racism based on a single post.
This smacks of what Julian Bond does by constantly referring to "white supremacy."
