Rock was hitting on John Wayne, in a gay sort of way.

Bogart looks like Johnny Depp there (and that's not a compliment).

Yes indeed!
The movie that almost single-handedly killed the SciFi genre.

Of course. Also, in this movie
Duke's co-star, Geraldine Page was a slob. She had to have lots of dental work done for the closeups, she stunk, had bad breath, and in every kissing scene tried to stick her tongue down John's throat.

Gotta funny story...I wanted to rent Pirates of the Caribbean the other day for the family. I get to the rental place and find a box that looks 100% like the movie. They even have an actor that could double for Depp on the cover. I pay my $3 and start to walk out, but I usually make conversation with the counter people so I ask if they've seen it. I'm looking at the box while they answer...suddenly I notice a Adult Film rating. Confused, I ask why this version was adult rated...come to find out it was a porn by a similar name that the staff accidently put on the family shelf.
OOOOOPPPPPPPS! I was going to play Pirates the porn for family night...

The Duke's son aired that film in the original 3-D in the early 1990s.

Another musical...
Skidoo (1968)Ex-gangster Tony Banks (Jackie Gleason) is called out of retirement by mob kingpin God (Groucho Marx) to carry out a hit on fellow mobster "Blue Chips" Packard (Mickey Rooney). When Banks demurs, God kidnaps his daughter Darlene on his luxury yacht.
Carol Channing play's Tony's wife, Flo.
Did I mention it's a musical??? And that Gleason takes an acid trip in the film?
