I wonder if Karr might have tutored Jonbenet's brother at some point in time. But, if he was not in Boulder on the date in questin, there is no case -- unless he knows who did it.

Sorry....The brother of the Unabomber picked up on a term his brother commonly used and notified the authorities.

If you were going to write a ransom note, would you refer to yourself in so many ways, use your own regular paper and pen and own handwriting?? The Ramseys had absolutely no motive.

You've seen and heard Karr now. Read the NOTE. The letter matches what we saw and heard today. In fact, the note is "in his mind", evidence that it was an accident. He was VERY CAREFUL to say that out loud. Interpret "I was WITH Jonbenet when she died" anyway you wish. We are all interpreting it as "I was there" but make it lurid.

His resume: Hobbies: Writing, ACTING.

This is one sick bas****.

Well, when/if this goes to trial, all of the facts will come out. Just heard someone say that not only will they have to prove that Karr did it, they will also have to show that the Ramseys didn't. That note is going to go under a microscope.

We all will, I worked in CSI, have 12 years of experience and many years of education in criminal justice/criminology, having worked more then my share of homocides I can tell youw what's allowed out to the public in unsolved cases if usually 60-70%. Even in cases where the police go public looking for information on a suspect, they aren't releasing all they know. I also know the Boulder DA would not have taken the steps to make an overseas arrest on this case, especially when California has open arrest warrants on him, unless they have some damned good evidence leading to his guilt. Once the media get's over their initial hyperactivity over the arrest and an actualy trial begins, we will probably have questions we've been asking ourselves for years answered.

You need to do some serious research into polygraph testing, how it works and how the tests are conducted.

This isn't a guy sitting in a room, asking questions and making up his mind by the manner a suspect answers a questions. It's based completely on biological factors, psychological factors that very few humans have control over.

It's obvious you know not the first thing about polygraphs or else you'd realize how ridiculous your comment is.

Baloney, it is just an expensive blood pressure machine. They can keep asking questions and changing the questioner until they get what they want. Would you REALLY want to put your life on the line on the basis of a polygraph? I think not.

Yes and this time they will be textually comparing it to all of Karr's writings, letters, emails etc. If they get a DNA match, nothing else will matter given this sick POS's history.

Wrong, and once again you're showing your ignorance on polygraph procedures and even how the machine works.

Not uncommon from those who watch CSI Miami on TV, watch a few Court TV shows, follow talking heads and their opinions of crimes. All of a sudden experts on all tools used in criminology.

2 years as a patrol officer, 12 in CSI, at last count 44 murders, untold rapes, robberies, thefts, assaults, car thefts etc under my belt.

Associate in criminal justice, bachelors in criminal justice/criminology, bachelors in psychology, emphasis on criminal/deviant behavior.

Member of the American Academy of Forensic Scientists
Member of the American Society of Criminology
4 certified programs at the FBI academy in Quantico Va, Crime Scene Documentation, Post Mortem Identification, Polygraph's and Latent Print Identification.
More classes/certificates and seminars then I can count from the Miami-Dade Medical Examiners office, VA State Medical Examiners office and FDLE on various aspects of crime scene investigation etc.

All this and you want me to believe your uninformed beliefs of polygraphs based on two commentaries, by two people, who are giving their opinion?

Ask yourself a few questions. If polygraphs are so unreliable why are they routinely used to include or exclude a suspect?

Why are they perfectly legal to use during employment testing in many states? Why does the FBI, ICE, the CIA, and almost all Law Enforcement Agencies use them for prospective hires as part of the testing process?

Why are polygraphs used in psychological studies to measure changes in the psychological state a person is in while being shown or exposed to various stimuli?

A polygraph test is a tool, and a very effective tool for law enforcement. It's not used, as most people know, to convict a person in a court of law. It is used in the investigation of a crime, along with other uses, with very good results.

That is why they are admissable in court as evidence isn't it?

I believe in forensics, not "junk" science. I would imagine most criminials have some degree of mental illness and therefore a detachment to reality. I don't believe that they are effective. Also, a truthful person can be nervous and appear deceptive. It's "junk" science.

Is that supposed to mean something that they use them for hiring purposes in law enforcement? What a joke. The most corrupt people I know are NOPD.

Have you looked at the autopsy report on smoking gun?

Does it seem to you that the toxicology report page is absent and the two lines regarding no results on the 1st or summary page are just sort of centered and typed into the most obviouse space above the conclusion and signature?

Everything else is described and itemized in detail, just seems like the toxicology results would be more comprehensive and detailed.

That is so disgusting...beyond disgusting. I have never believed the parents did this...I never saw any reason to focus on them. I hope this guy did it because otherwise the guy is still out there.
