2 years as a patrol officer, 12 in CSI, at last count 44 murders, untold rapes, robberies, thefts, assaults, car thefts etc under my belt.

Associate in criminal justice, bachelors in criminal justice/criminology, bachelors in psychology, emphasis on criminal/deviant behavior.

Member of the American Academy of Forensic Scientists
Member of the American Society of Criminology
4 certified programs at the FBI academy in Quantico Va, Crime Scene Documentation, Post Mortem Identification, Polygraph's and Latent Print Identification.
More classes/certificates and seminars then I can count from the Miami-Dade Medical Examiners office, VA State Medical Examiners office and FDLE on various aspects of crime scene investigation etc.

All this and you want me to believe your uninformed beliefs of polygraphs based on two commentaries, by two people, who are giving their opinion?

Ask yourself a few questions. If polygraphs are so unreliable why are they routinely used to include or exclude a suspect?

Why are they perfectly legal to use during employment testing in many states? Why does the FBI, ICE, the CIA, and almost all Law Enforcement Agencies use them for prospective hires as part of the testing process?

Why are polygraphs used in psychological studies to measure changes in the psychological state a person is in while being shown or exposed to various stimuli?

A polygraph test is a tool, and a very effective tool for law enforcement. It's not used, as most people know, to convict a person in a court of law. It is used in the investigation of a crime, along with other uses, with very good results.

That is why they are admissable in court as evidence isn't it?

I believe in forensics, not "junk" science. I would imagine most criminials have some degree of mental illness and therefore a detachment to reality. I don't believe that they are effective. Also, a truthful person can be nervous and appear deceptive. It's "junk" science.

Is that supposed to mean something that they use them for hiring purposes in law enforcement? What a joke. The most corrupt people I know are NOPD.
