JonBenet Ramsey D.A.: More Work Needed
ASSOCIATED PRESS
BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - The district attorney in the JonBenet Ramsey slaying says there is "much more work" to be done in the case against the suspect and she is warning the public not to "jump to conclusions."

Yeah, I think you should contact the authorities. Doesn't look like you can add too much to the case, but like someone else said it can help investigators with timelines, etc for this fellow.
lol
Yesterday we heard that this man knew things about the case that only the murderer could know. If that is true, then either he is the one, OR he must know, or has corresponded with, the real murderer, OR he somehow found out what was in the investigation files. I can't think of another reason he'd know things he shouldn't have known.
No...I haven't heard..
To an apparently predictable bias on your part.
I understand your poimt about taking risks, but I'm not so sure that having a lawyer would actually make them suspect you more than a mistake on your part would if you went it alone. All it would take is one error on your part, one slip of the tongue, one mistake that a lawyer could have prevented, and that would significantly delay the arrival of the day you are talking about. For obvious reasons, the police are going to focus on family members first, so while I agree with you that cooperation is a smart move, it's also wise to know how to approach that cooperation. A local lawyer will know the local police department and how they operate.
Yeah, he sure does have the "norma Bates" kinds quality.
Though he really reminds me of Lee Harvey Oswald - same shaped jaw/face, but this creep is much thinner
Ackk - Norman Bates, not Norma
I must still be naive. I know LE and DA's see the seamier side of life and surely that is their point of reference. I do understand that.
But as a citizen, I am appalled that someone excercising their basic rights when accused of a crime, especially if innocent, is perceived as guilty.
We have seen it over and over in the past 10-15 years. The court of public opinion does not mean anything in the courtroom. I know that. But once the court of public opinion declares you guilty, nothing will change it, regardless of what the jury decides.
Everyone keeps making a big deal about the perp knowing about the $118,000.
If he had indeed been in the house while they were out and he does have computer knowledge, whats keeping him from going into the family records to see that that amount had been deposited in their account....
Definitely contact the authorities. (Make sure you get someone who will listen.) Even if this guy didn't kill JonBenet, he is still wanted for skipping out over the child porn issue, so he needs to be brought to justice. Your information could help them build a timeline that does just that.
Yesterday I was elated when I heard that. Coming back to reality, I know this would not be the first time reports have been wrong.
I hope to God those reports are true. I could not stand this case falling apart and then have people say "See, a scapegoat for the Ramsey's. We always 'knew' she did it."
I missed most of the presser. What little I heard was someone who was being very careful not to turn this into a circus or hurt their case.
There is story on the Montgomery Advertiser website, however it is a Gannett paper and we are not allowed to post stories from there.
And as for cooperation being a "smart move",I'd be more inclined to refer to it as "the logical and right thing to do for many different reasons".
Well Thailand is a country people flock to for discount sex change operations. Whatever the case guilty or not, this man is deranged.
Thank God he was caught when he was. Let's say he has nothing to do with JonBenet's death. His delusion to the contrary seems to be his achilles hill. Could it be that a serial killer has been brought to justice? I'm hoping that's the case.
"he somehow found out what was in the investigation files"
Good point. Also, I read on one of these threads that Karr had corresponded with Jonbenet's grandparents under the guise of writing an investigative piece on the murder.
So a guy breaks into the house, sits down at the computer, sees the figure and decides to incorporate the figure into a ransom note? And all of this takes *how* long? I've always assumed that housebreakers want to be in the house for as little time as possible.
From one of the books I read on the case, the Ramseys each got a separate attorney. If this is true, it likely indicates that the interests of the two Ramseys would prove to be different if push came to shove in the case (for instance, if one of them were charged). That tends to make me wonder one of them did it, and the other one knew. In that case, two attorneys really makes sense.
