Joe Buck will take over as host from James Brown. Seems like a nice move, but not sure how well this is going to work.

Buck joins Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long, Jimmy Johnson, Pam Oliver, insider Jay Glazer and comedian Frank Caliendo this seasonIt's going to be awfully crowded and a lot of voices fighting for air time. Dump Jimmy J and his formica hair.

Seems like the naacp folks will be up in arms over this one.

In my opinion, Joe Buck sucks in football. If Fox dumped his sorry arse from the NFL, it would be much better for me. When he's announcing a game I'm watching, I turn on the radio, and live with the delay. But that's just me.

I liked it when Randy Moss pretended to moon the crowd and Joe Buck acted like Moss had gassed 6 million Jews. He's awesome.

Also I'm glad to see Curt Menefee get a nice promotion, he was good when he was here in Dallas.

So is it Fox thinks he's so great at both jobs they wanted him to both OR is it because they couldn't find anyone they liked to do either job?
To: Dysart
Oh no, not this dork. I'm so sick of him broadcasting the playoffs and World Series. Thom Brenneman is a 100 times better broadcaster than Buck, yet we get stuck with him every OCT, opining about the "great Yankees" and the "mystique" of Yankee stadium.

Between the Sunday papers I take which cover Southeastern Conference and ACC College football in "depth" and all other college footbal better than the local rags in the other regions and NFL Sunday Ticket on DirecTV, I have not watched a pre-game, half-time, sideline report or commercial in five years.
The shows have obviously passed me by as I can not figure out what in the world is so damned funny that everybody on the set of every studio show is always yukking it up like 8th grade boys that are all sitting on whoopee cushions.

So is Fox too cheap to hire another studio host is their ad revenue down? FWIW, I can't stand *any* of these pre-games shows with their know-nothing sideline reporters and their screaming pimps.
The old ESPN Monday Night Matchup crew was tolerable but mostly for the "jacked up" highlights.

Fox can do whatever they want, but I don't think Joe Buck knows that much about football!

James Brown was the glue that kept that show on track.
Now you have a nut (Bradshaw) along with an ego-maniac (Jimmy JOhnson) next to Howie who plays a great straight man and this just sounds like a trainwreck waiting to happen.
Notice how they are now going to emulate the College Gameday pregame show from ESPN with Kirk Lee and Chris....
