It will still be JB, Terry, Howie and Jimmy on NFL on FOX Sunday this fall. But plenty will change as the network's pregame show will sport a whole new look.
Joe Buck, a six-time Emmy Award winner, has been named as new host for the FOX NFL Sunday pregame show and postgame show The OT on doubleheader weekends.
It marks the first time in sports television history that a broadcaster will host an NFL pregame show while simultaneously handling play-by-play duties.
The announcement was made Monday by David Hill, chairman of the FOX Sports television group and executive producer for FOX Sports.
Buck joins Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long, Jimmy Johnson, Pam Oliver, insider Jay Glazer and comedian Frank Caliendo this season, beginning with the 2006 premiere on Sunday, September 10 at noon ET.

McCarver is equally irritating.
"You see Joe it's always good for a pitcher to get ahead in the count."
So is Fox too cheap to hire another studio host is their ad revenue down? FWIW, I can't stand *any* of these pre-games shows with their know-nothing sideline reporters and their screaming pimps.
The old ESPN Monday Night Matchup crew was tolerable but mostly for the "jacked up" highlights.
Inquiring minds want to know.
Fox can do whatever they want, but I don't think Joe Buck knows that much about football!
James Brown was the glue that kept that show on track.
Now you have a nut (Bradshaw) along with an ego-maniac (Jimmy JOhnson) next to Howie who plays a great straight man and this just sounds like a trainwreck waiting to happen.
Notice how they are now going to emulate the College Gameday pregame show from ESPN with Kirk Lee and Chris....
I think you have actually pinpointed one of the prime causes for some people's distaste for this move: He's overexposed, and that tends to breed contempt for public figures.
I just haven't heard any viable alternatives in the media, or even here.
My ears are burning. :)
Cool. Honestly, neither my husband or I thought TB could handle it.
I don't know if that would work too well with the NFL. I was at the Utah/BYU College Gameday airing in 2004 (I think it was only the third time College Gameday had gone west of the Mississippi), and it's a total blast, but I have my doubts about it with the NFL and FOX.
That, and I don't think you'll see a random wierdo on FOX NFL Sunday flying a Washington State Cougar flag. If you've seen ESPN's College Gameday, you've probably seen a Wazzu flag during every airing.
I've been to a few of them when they come into Columbus :)
Never saw a WAZZU flag except for when Ohio State was playing WAZZU.
Plenty of Michigan and Penn State flags though. I didn't make to the Texas gameday show last year in Columbus, but I did notice a few Texas flags then.

Yep I've heard about it...
It's very possible that I just missed the guy waving it.....
Joe Buck is the very definition of a metrosexual. Can the guy even throw a baseball?
Being prepared is the key thing here...
