Broward County schools' progressive policy on transgendered children will be tested by the admission to kindergarten this fall of a boy who believes that he's a girl.

One little girl entering Broward County kindergarten this fall is actually a boy.
Few will know this genetic truth, because the 5-year-old's parents and school administrators have agreed that it's in his best interest to blend in as a female.
Mental health professionals have diagnosed Pat -- not his real name -- with gender dysphoria, a condition in which a person believes that he or she is the opposite gender. After two years of examination, they have determined that he is not simply effeminate or going through a phase.

So, he accused a white woman, a black man and a white Englishman all of being racist and sexist against him.
I have 50 dollars that says the kid will be giving BJs for 20 bucks a pop, if he isn't already.

Considering the child is very young and has yet to go through puberty it seems odd that the "mental health professionals" have determined and diagnosed not only the behavioral disorder,"gender dysphoria", but have as well determined that treatment for the disorder should entail reinforcing the behavior...
Bizarre
No doubt they are considering scheduling "reassignment" surgery to make good on their delusional agenda at the expense of this child...
well Paula is sort of mixed but otherwise yes that is the gist of it.
I do hope you're not including me in that group.
My only question is "Why aren't the parents in jail?".
They weren't born in the wrong body, but possibly to the wrong parents!
Sickness abounds in the church of liberalism.

That doesn't worry me so much at the age of 5 but what about 10, 15 or 17? What will they do in the future?
Thank God none of us are moving to FL...!
Good post. It's complicated because there are genuine disorders where it appears that the wires got crossed, through no one's fault or will, and these cases need to be dealt with rationally (and legally).
One of the big problems, however, is that everything relating to sex has become so politicized that common sense and charity - and science, for that matter, which is more objective on these matters - have fallen by the wayside, and individuals who have these problems are being used as poster children by groups with entirely different agendas.
when a 5 year old says he hates his penis then something tells me there is more to the story than meets the eye.....

Likely sexual abuse.
I am convinced that if you scratch a homosexual you will find childhood sexual abuse.
Some people just should not be allowed to procreate.

The "treatment" also includes indoctrinating the minds of all the children in the class to accept what they naturally would reject.
The parents of the other children should remove their children immediately.
And I thought *I* had a small d*ck.
Imagine it being mistaken for a clitoris for 5 long years.
"They kid needs to be in foster care."
Or adopted. His parents are obviously very disturbed people.
I'm with my children 24/7. Anything can be taught. Or suggested. It probably all started with the child making a comment or engaging in a particular behavior, and the parents overreacted, leading the child to obsess about it, then the "psychological" visits with more questions and prodding probably compounded the problem.
I feel so sorry for this poor child.
No, not including you!
