Its time to celebrate our great nation's independence yet again. Hopefully we will all take a few moments to reflect on how far we have come since our country was founded, the freedoms we hold so dear, and how thankful we are to live in the land of the free.
What are some memorable 4th of July vacations or events that you have enjoyed?
Where are you planning on travelling, and what are you planning on doing for the 4th of July this year?

Did you see the pics from the premier at Disneyland?
Who woulda ever thunk Marlyn Manson would be there? Is he in the movie? If not, he looks like he should be...

How are things going? How is Iraq? What have you been up to out there recently? Things are going fine...it's very hot and it's been kind of steady out there...some violence, but it's not ramped up or anything.
We're planning our 4th of July barbecue at poolside. The food and music, etc. will be provided by us, the fireworks will likely be provided by those people outside the walls. ;-)
How are things going in your neck of the woods?

With all the mortar stories my hubby's shared, your fireworks comment made me laugh for about ten minutes.
Our neck of the woods is calm and peaceful. We plan to go the the local 4th of July parade on Tuesday and watch some fireworks. I got to spend five days last week working for NASCAR/FOX at Sears Point. It was a BLAST. I got me about 10,000 bug bites and was burnt to a crisp, but I really enjoyed it.

I've never seen a NASCAR race, and that's one track I would want to catch a race.

It was the Computer issue. If I knew what was wrong with it, I could pass it along to my fellow tech guys and have them take a gander at it...
