Child-welfare worker clocked at 142 mph on motorcycle
The Associated Press
ORANGEBURG, N.Y. - A child-welfare worker was clocked at 142 miles an hour on his motorcycle while leading police on a two-state chase, authorities said Thursday.
Sean Virgo's wild ride allegedly started in Orangeburg, where he was pursued by New York state police.
When he arrived in neighboring New Jersey, Palisades Interstate Parkway police picked up the chase, They arrested Virgo as he tried to make a U-turn on a grassy median.
Virgo, 34, of Ossining, an emergency children's services investigator for the New York City Administration for Children's Services, was charged this week with eluding police and first-degree reckless endangerment.
He was being held on $20,000 bail in the Bergen County jail in New Jersey.
QUICK! Get that man some state-funded therapy!

What the heck does his job title have to do with anything? Makes one wonder if the annonymous AP reporter had a child abuse case against him/her.
Thank God it wasn't a housepainter.
I'm thinking no one suvived that one.
Hope he had his helmet on................
I can see the relevance of the man's job if he was a:
1) cop
2) traffic court judge
3) judge
4) car thief
5) illegal immigrant
6) unemployed
7) President of GEICO, AIG or other auto insurance agency
Bergen County Jail. Vivid memories. It's like a travelers bed and breakfast with ugly people.
Kind of hard picturing the guy on the bike surviving it.
thats TWO writes up without saying anything about if they had a helmet on!
i'm thinking i would like this person for my childcare needs, sounds like they can think fast.
can't wait till you all get to read about a mailman in lexington riding over 142mph on his honda VFR. (grin)
