Joe Conason don't like Ms. Coulter
email to and from Joe Conason... (surprised)

From: Joe Conason [mailto:joe@joeconason.com] Sent: Monday, June 19, 2006 12:18 PM To: Andy Huddleston Subject: Re: Ms. Coulter

Until the last few decades our news and information was undoubtedly filtered by the likes of, I wonder; I know: *you*

What a pathetic excuse for a vicious personal attack on these patriotic women and their families.

The great unwashed everywhere wanted to know the truth about 9/11. The Jersey Girls and other family members forced the Republicans and Democrats together to create an independent commission, endorsed by the Bush administration, John McCain, Joe Lieberman, Chris Smith and many others of both parties. The results of that investigation convinced those women — at least two of whom had voted for Bush and were lifelong Republicans — that the nation needed a new president. They dared to speak their minds, which is the right of every citizen in a democracy. They “profited” from that decision by attracting personal assaults, which have nothing to do with the issues, from bullies like Coulter. As many decent people of all political persuasions understand, this is a disgrace to conservatism.

Your reference to a “socialist regime” is moronic. The husbands of the Jersey Girls worked on Wall Street. They were proud capitalists and Republicans.

I actually received a repsonse today--must have been a bit slow for him. I don't know--but I appreciate him writing me back. It must be getting harder and harder to hold up their facade (finding the lie out of truth).

First of all, who's Joe Conason?

Second, how many widows were produced by 911?
How many feel entitled not only to exercise their "free speech" rights, but to do it in a way that invites national attention as opposed to private grieving and political choices?

Why should I care how these opportunist feel about political parties and candidates any more than the thousands of other widows who have no national voice at all?

e-mail back and ask him how they found 4 out of thousands of women who are visiooucly anti-Bush and made them natinal celebrities (them being,umm... -joe conason and his ilk)

Why did't they find 4 pro-Bush 9/11 widows and parade them all over TV and make them famous?

(Don't tell me there aren't any- I personally know 3)

The husbands of the Jersey Girls worked on Wall Street. They were proud capitalists and Republicans.

Conason is clueless as usual.

There are plenty of Wall Streeters who are ashamed of being involved in capitalism and who pride themselves on being Democrats.

Jon Corzine, Democrat and advocate of socialist healthcare, was the CEO of the most prestigious and profitable firm on Wall Street.

Additionally, there are plenty of Wall Streeters who, while proud capitalists and Republicans, are married to socialist Democrats.

Conason is a Salon propagandist... a long-time, leftist stool.

That's one thing about Conason, he does answer his email. I've written him twice and he responded both times; albeit with the completely wrong conclusions. ;-)

I'm sorry, all--I should have prefaced or referenced his latest article--he's an editorialist with something called The New York Observer. I will check in on him a few times a year from Drudge. He wrote an editorial that (naturally) slammed Ann Coulter. I was so impressed I rushed to Barnes & Noble to buy a copy of her book rather than wait for my book club. Heheh.
