First of all, who's Joe Conason?

Second, how many widows were produced by 911?
How many feel entitled not only to exercise their "free speech" rights, but to do it in a way that invites national attention as opposed to private grieving and political choices?

Why should I care how these opportunist feel about political parties and candidates any more than the thousands of other widows who have no national voice at all?

Why did't they find 4 pro-Bush 9/11 widows and parade them all over TV and make them famous?

The husbands of the Jersey Girls worked on Wall Street. They were proud capitalists and Republicans.

Conason is clueless as usual.

There are plenty of Wall Streeters who are ashamed of being involved in capitalism and who pride themselves on being Democrats.

Jon Corzine, Democrat and advocate of socialist healthcare, was the CEO of the most prestigious and profitable firm on Wall Street.

Additionally, there are plenty of Wall Streeters who, while proud capitalists and Republicans, are married to socialist Democrats.

That's one thing about Conason, he does answer his email. I've written him twice and he responded both times; albeit with the completely wrong conclusions. ;-)
