My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Raccoons. We used to have tons of them till the bigger predators moved in. Raccoons are amazingly smart, they used to pull all sorts of pranks around here.
A kiddie pool will be just what the pediatrician ordered for that kid today. I see very few cars over at the park, meaning people might be smart today. We aren't accustomed to these temps yet.

Yupper, the raccoons run these streets constantly, I have seen big old fat ones dive into the sewer drains. I don't think anyone does anything to rid the city of them. My ex-father-in-law used to trap them for the city. He's been gone many years now.
To: bentfeather
Trapping and moving them is now illegal here. Some dinks thought it'd upset the ecology if you move them, so if you trap them, you have to drown them on your property.
Raccoons are smarter than those lawmakers.

A lovely poem 'feather, as always!
and for fun
If College Students Wrote The Bible
The Last Supper would have been eaten the next morning -- cold.
The Ten Commandments would actually be only five -- double-spaced and written in a large font.
A new edition would be published every two years in order to limit reselling.
Forbidden fruit would have been eaten because it wasn't cafeteria food.Paul's letter to the Romans would become Paul's email to abuse@romans.gov.
Reason Cain killed Abel: they were roommates.
Reason why Moses and followers walked in the desert for 40 years: they didn't want to ask directions and look like freshmen.
Instead of God creating the world in six days and resting on the seventh, he would have put it off until the night before to get it done.

Almost Saw A Muse
I almost saw a Muse
her heel flashed reflected light
I almost saw her hem,
....but not quite.
I think I saw a poem
the thought of an idea,
I almost had it here,
....but it wasn't right.
I hear a rustling gown,
blown by the breeze,
a Muse was visiting someone,
....but it wasn't me!
Long hair in the sunlight,
A face so lovely, and such style!
A Muse is in the doorway!
...please, sit and stay a while.
