The Official Weekend Single's Thread ---May 26 -29 (Memorial Weekend US - Spring Bank Holiday Weekend UK)
Posted by Snugs;proud_yank
This weekend in America is Memorial Weekend a time when Americans honour their military dead.
Are those slender, lady-like cigars, or big ol' honkin' stogies?
That's what I do too. Get into the car, start driving, and see if any places jump out at me.
Oh, Beautiful, where are thou??
They come in all sizes. I ran out of the honkin' size and now I'm using up the petite lady cigarillos. The petite ones aren't made as well as the bigger ones. They seem to be falling apart in my hands. They don't last very long either (maybe 20 minutes).
It's an added bonus that it drives my mother insane not to know where I'm going lol
Too funny. My mom, fortunately, is more like me. We'll get in the car and head in the general direction of where we think something fun will be found.
When will you get to dc?
It's a great town. I can show you around if you'd like!
My mother is nothing like me. Which is precisely why I try to spend as little time at home as possible.
Have fun tonight, and if you need us to bail you out give us a shout. ;-)
You need not worry. I have been doing wiring and electrical repairs for about 25 or more years. Wired my first (successful, too I might add) 230 volt line to my garage at my house at the time, when I was 15. Nowdays, I usually don't even have to kill the power to fix an outlet or switch on a 120v. line(but I will NOT willingly work on a 230v. line "hot, I am too smart for that!!). I will soon be putting in a gable fan in the attic, to help cool it, and east the load on the A/C, and thus, the cost of running it.
That'd be awesome! We're driving up there on September 1st. I'll be there the whole semester, interning with the Defense Department (I hope).
MAX!!!!!!
Very good...8^)
Specifically, doing a second kernel upgrade--from 2.6.16 to 2.6.16.18
(the tarball is still dl'ing right now as we speak...)
Hopefully, I'll have the modversions.h so I can compile my stupid sheep_net driver and install OS7.6...8^)
Take care and have fun...;)
Hi, Hoodie! What's happening in DC tonight?
Lol okay, I'll keep that in mind :)
How long is the drive from SC to DC? When I drove from OH to FL in 2000, it was almost 21 hours.
Excellent!
Send me a FReepmail when you get your plans together. Also, feel free to FReepmail me if you have any questions about logistics prior to coming up!
btw - the DC chapter is a great group. Make sure to drop into one of their events while your up here.
How late are you gonna be up? I'd like to talk to you later if you're not really tired ;)
