I worked with a guy who had served with both Hawk and Nike-Herc units. He loved the Nike-Hercs (namely because he did not have to go out into the field and sleep outdoors).
Have you used Terraserver to look at the site? Those aerial photographs can reveal all sorts of details that are unseen at ground-level.
To: cibco
Oh no, it really didn't have anything to do with you.

I would rather watch Infomercials featuring Hugo Chavez.

Yep, and I've also given my research to not only the mayor (who's supportive of restoration), but a vet who served at the site.
His website shows aerial views of both the launch area and the control area circa 1963.

Excellent!
Have you contacted the Air Defense Artillery Museum at Fort Bliss? Sam Hoyle would probably love to help you with your research.

How are things in your neck of the woods? Well, they were pretty quiet for a couple of weeks, but it got "active" again starting Saturday night and continued yesterday.
Just damn!

Actually, it would be interesting to see ol' Hugo in an informercial.

He looks like he already had a flowbee accident... :)

"What's a Flowbee?"
Are you trying to make me feel old? ;-)
It was one of Ron Popeil's many gadgets that he sold on TV. Imagine crossing hair clippers with a vacuum-cleaner.
To: Army Air Corps; All
Yeah, or products the Yankee Imperialists have exploited. LOL.
Anyway, I'm playing squash tomorrow, so I need to go to bed.
Nighty night, AAC and everyone. It was fun.
To: Maximus_Ridiculousness
I meant to type "...have a fatal flowbee accident". ;-)
