Wonderful selection of pix Eleanor.. and it is interesting how profound it must be for the troops in Iraq & Afghanistan to have these ceremonies. The sting & pain of their losses of friends in past year are so hard I am sure.

Thanks so much.

does everyone realize for Snugs/Eleanor it is now almost 3 AM & that she will hang around here & the Dose for many more hours?????

I have missed so much because I spent several days backing up files on my puter and then doing a system recovery. So it is nice to see everyone here!

do you have the CDs?

I have never seen the program (actually I rarely have on the TV.. last time was olympics)..

but so many rave about the program. I think I will get the CDs of past season. Guess they are also commercial free?

In fact I still have my old Amstrad 8086 machine which I presume stills works but have not booted it up for years that has 40mb hard card in the rear expansion slot. My late mum put that in for me LOL.

Amstrad 8086? Wasn't that an IBM-PC compatible? That's a name I haven't heard in a while. I also remember other UK computers like the BBC Acorn and the Sinclair computers of various marks. The two most famous ones was the Sinclair ZX-80 and the ZX-81, the latter much more widespread and was also known as the Timex Sinclair 1000.

yes, and I see it is blue topaz????

our birthstone?

yes, I was off 2 hours! 5 hour difference .. not 7. Math was one of my undergrad majors.. but simple adding & subtracting are not strong points.. give me some sweet algebra, trig, calc.. whoopie!

Stout.. (or anyone who might know). I have a computer question.. don't think it is too hard like TK's was last night..

I cannot get my pix on a memory card(xD) to open. I try in both FujiFilm's program & explorer. It is a built in card reader in my computer-HPPavilliona1330. It had worked for a couple years..and then I began using a different camera/card(compactFlash) & just yesterday took some pix with older/smaller camera & nothing.. the little light by the card outlet blinks like crazy..so it is reading/acknowledging the card.

But in explorer when I hit the various drives, i get no response. When I try opening them with FujiFilm program, nothing also.

Any ideas how I can access this card/pix? I want the digital not prints. I also took some video of the kayaking today

Yes it was the IBM PC compatible using the 8086 Intel chip.

It actually had a VGA colour monitor as well which in 1989/1990 was considered state of the art.

It came with DOS 3.3 Operating system and Lotus Symphony, names from the past

Thought Dolly what operating system are you using? If it is pre XP you often need to install a driver for card reader to work.

Has the driver got corrupted or have you rebuilt the system since you last used the reader and not re-installed the driver for the card reader?
