Sorry about that but it was gone 5.00am and I needed to get a couple of hours sleep as I am expecting a phone call this morning.

The Angel Of Music
READ: Ephesians 6:10-18
Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. 2 Corinthians 11:14 In Andrew Lloyd Webbers musical The Phantom of the Opera, a young chorus girl named Christine Daae receives voice training from a mysterious musician she calls the Angel of Music. Christine believes this is the angel her dying father had promised to send to complete her musical training.
As the plot thickens, we find that her mysterious mentor is really a demented man who wants to carry her away into a bizarre underworld beneath the opera house. What the girl thinks is a supernatural agent sent by her beloved father is really a madman who wants to possess her for his own ends. The Angel of Music is evil masquerading as good.
The believer in Christ also faces an evil one who masquerades. One of Satans key strategies is to look like someone who is good. Paul told us, Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14). The Greek word translated as transforms means to change appearance, masquerade, or disguise oneself.
In preparing us to face the evil strategies of the devil, God has provided all the equipment we need to stand our ground. Protecting ourselves with the armor of God unmasks the evil that opposes us and stabilizes our spiritual walk (Ephesians 6:10-18). Dennis Fisher
When youre making a decision,
Evil sometimes wears a mask;
Trust the Lord for true discernment
Hell give wisdom if you ask. Hess

"Though, I would question communism as being 'environmentally friendly'!"
Bourgeois lies! Open-pit toxic waste dumps, an inch of coal dust on everything, and exploding nulear reactors are very friendly to the New Soviet Species - ya know, mutants.

I haven't heard of those, but I shall make inquiries to one of the large booze stores south of town. I may have to give those two beverages a try.

Not too much. did a bit of PM checking out of the central A/C unhit today, to insure all would be OK for the season. Did not find anything wrong, other than the coil needing cleaned. (one thing I was concerned about was the aluminum wire feeding the outdoor unit, I HAD to make SURE it was ok, I still remember the night the Supper Club burned down in KY, in '77,killing some people-- due to Aluminum wire!!)
I worked all week, I no longer have M and F off. I can use the extra money anyway, and the job is NOT a high-pressure one, and it pays well.
Don't really have anything special planned for Monday, just a family cook-out, including Brenda, my cousin.
I checked out my A/C unit today, seems OK, using it now, all of a sudden we went from March to July.
Workwise, we are going from Fiscal 2006 to Fiscal 2007, so until the invoices come in for the next year, I only have to work two days this week and I get a four day weekend next weekend. I do have a high-pressure job, but I do like it. Still those 4 days are nice to have since closing is always at the end of the months and we only had the day of Thanksgiving off as well as had to work hard during Christmas. Still that's the world of accounting.
Me, I'm working a on a webpage for a clinet but I think I'll chill some this weekend, I need it.

We used to have 'hosted' horror movies, but they did away with those a long time ago (in the San Francisco area). They'd always be on a non-network channel. I haven't seen anything like that in a long time. I LOVE that kind of stuff. Halloween in my favorite time of year and I love watching scary movies around that time, cause the local networks start hosting the horror movies.
Yeah, we lost the Chilly Billy Chiller Theater in the early 1980's although the host is still active in local Pittsburgh radio. Channel 11 was and still is the local NBC affiliate. I also remember our local Channel 22, an independant (indy) station at the time, did show horror movies on Saturday night where the opening was a grotesque looking guy who took forever to climb the stairs. Another local indy station, at that time, Channel 53, had a host dressed up like he was Einstein on crack where he hosted horror and sci-fi movies on Saturday afternoons. After a 20 or 25 year dearth, it looks like we are going back to those days with our Channel 59 with the "The It's Alive Show" where they also show horror shorts made by local, Pittsburgh indy filmakers. They had a (mock) pledge drive yesterday and they made $7.14, they were happy as pigs in mud over that. B-)
It makes me wish for the days when we used to watch stuff like that on TV as we gorged down pizza and pop. B-)

thanks for the cuppa Rus..to discern light from darkness. Not always as easy as it seems.
I do hope your day & weekend thus far have been good.
I had a great kayak outing with two friends & my two pooches. The pooches maiden voyage. Did okay. Josy the pup spent much too much time in water swimming against current rather than running the shore.. but that will at least quiet her down a bit.
BTW, how is the new church going? still meeting in school, was it? I am hoping to get to Dunkirk in next month. My uncle & aunt's condition there is deteriorating. Will let you know if it might include a quick trip to the falls..
Hello to your sweetie for me

Nice pics, Dolly. Thanks for sharing them with us.

thanks for noticing! I used the term "soldiers".. dad was navy (as was I) and brother Airforce. It was from last year's memorial day thread that I did for the Finest..with Cigar Guy, hope he is doing well, heard from his wife a few months ago that he is officially out of marines. It was just a short email to let me know. He wants to be a teacher
