Hey, everybody's known for a long time that pedophiles seek out professions where they can play the role of a trusted authority figure in order to seduce kids.
That's true for some scoutmasters and Catholic priests, as we've seen. It's no surprise to find out that the teaching profession is a lure for perverts who want kiddie-sex... the only thing surprising about it is how prevalent it seems to be.
I think the only answer is a serious vetting process before any teacher is hired.
