Below is a list of worst beers in the world as rated by the thousands of beer enthusiasts at RateBeer.com. Dare to try them? We don't advise it. We provide this list in the name of beer education. We aren't picking on the fat kid as much as we're making a few big brewers accountable for their products that are more about beer hype and marketing than substance. If you're interested in how good real beer can be, we can certainly help you out! Try a link or two in the right hand column.

Yes, Olde Frothingslosh sure wasn't Griesedick.

We use to drive from the suburbs of Detroit over to Canada to buy that stuff by the case when we were in high school. Sneak it back across the border and then sell it high enough to pay for our own beer. Back then flavor wasn't exactly the most important thing, telling the girls how you sneaked it past the customs and border guards just for them to enjoy was.

If you are in Greece, don't try Retzina. It has to be the all time worst alcoholic drink in the world.

Yeah, Grolsch is super-skunky like Heineken. Not my style.

I'll have to give Licher a try.

I'm disappointed that my favorite bad beer isn't listed--Old Frothingslosh.

Only qualifies if you ordered it at the Wooden Keg in the shadows of the House of Thrills. A refreshing change from the typical order of Imp and 'Arn.

BTW - It looks like Rolling Rock is being sold to Anheuser-Busch, the Latrobe Brewery to be closed and production moved to New Jersey. Yuk!

That was non-alcohol I believe!!!

Oh, no....it had some alcohol in it.

Pretty much, Texas Pride was horse piss with some alcohol in it.

Hey, Gunner...will you answer my tagline question? ;-)

Anyone remember this...?

I think that I shall never hear
A poem as lovely as a beer
The brew that Joe's bar has on tap
With golden base and snowy cap
The foamy stuff I drink all day
Until my memory melts away
Poems are writ by fools I fear
But only Schlitz
can make a beer.

Fond memories of Mad Magazine back in the '60s. :)

My friends know that when they see me switch over to Ultra or Bud Light, I'm trying to sober up.

I was born in the deep South, raised here too, and been living large for many, many years. Down here we drink good whiskey, and we also drink damn fine scotch, single malts, blends, any way we want it. The problem sir, was you were in Alabama, where the men are men,and the sheep are really nervous-if you know what I mean (check with Hillary-she knows!) They only like moonshine there, and if it has been "aged" more than a day, they use it for blowing up tree stumps and coal mining. Hope this facilitates your learning more about the South.

In my younger, adult post college days, I went through a Rolling Rock phase. I liked the small bottles and I seem to remember it was not too bad.

I was rasied on Budweiser.

Vietnam was where I was introduced to a rusty can of warm Black Label. If you poured it into a glass, there were little critters swimming around in it.
