That's is the other reason why if I'm the defense, I am not neccesary upset if the trial is in say Jan-Feb 07 rather than September or October. The longer it that to get to trial, the longer she has to slip up. Sometimes all it takes is one disgrunted family member or ex-boyfriend to blow up her story. She sounds like she has a drinking problem as is likely to get drunk and perhaps brag. Kim also sounds like a person who can't keep a secret for 8-9 months.
I just saw this...and couldn't believe that these poor guys have to wait a YEAR, before they can TRY to salvage their lives...

Greta Van Susteren reported the black man as saying after court to Reade Seligman, "YOU'RE a dead man walking!"...that definitely sounds like a threat, and that man should have been arrested and charged for threatening the life of Seligman, IMO. I wish I knew the law, because to the average person, it certainly seems like a 'change of venue' is called for in this case.

Duke University policy is to suspend students who have felony indictments. In this case I think that they should ignore that policy.
If this cae goes to trial and Nullfang can produce no other evidence than what has been produced thus far, HE should be investigated by the State Attorney General of North Carolina.

IF ANYTHING happens to this boy or the other boys in regards to backlash of this case I will hold YOU personally responsible and you WILL be the arrested and charged with whatever happens to them.....as you have made a very public and to the point threat of things to come.
For a little perspective I would like to point all you folks to the David westerifeld trial where Damon Van Damme was REMOVED from the courtroom where the killer of his 7 year old girl was complaining about how he was LOOKING at him. Seriously LOOKING at him. The judge said it was keeping Westerfield from getting a fair trial.
Our legal system has become a joke and it isn't just that it is happening now more and more it is just that we are seeing it more and more.
Many folsk complain about the natalie halloway, Elizabeht Smart, Scott peterson type cases being all over TV and I would like to pose that the reason they are on TV news so much is not to show you the individual people...but indeed to show the entire public how much a JOKE our ENFORCEMENT arena of our legal system has become.
What the media is doing is putting the system on trial and the people are just pawns in that game. Clearly innocent people are ran thru the mill while guilty people are coddled and have excuses made for them by leftist idiots that just cannot accept that people do very bad things and when it is shown they have done so they should be punished ina way that fits the crime they did.
Sad state of affairs our legal system is in today and we have leftist liberal appologists to thank for it. I sure they are happy they have gotten what they have pressed for. I fear for my country and the rule of law.

You're right, but that's apparently a general problem in the jurisdiction in question, not something specific to this case. The information at the top of the thread seems to indicate that the defense wanted this case pushed to the front of the court schedule this summer.
Well if that is their policy then indeed they promote punishment for accusation prior to any proof of guilt and I would caution ALL people that would think about going to Duke university to that fact.
