A woman has shot an alligator that came into her home and attacked her dog.
When the reptile came into the lanai of her home east of Bradenton Saturday and attacked her golden retriever, Frey went and got her gun.
After Frey and her daughter managed to push the gator out of the lanai through the dog door, she blasted away at it four times.
The alligator barely bled from gunshots to the neck and shoulder, Frey said, and wildlife officer put it back in the lake.
The deputy gave Frey a warning citation for hunting without a license.

Sure this wasn't some liberal part of California?
I guess in the liberal parts of California they would have arrested her.
They would have no doubt arrested her in Boston or New York City.
What ever happened to self-defense?
I guess to a liberal, a gator is more important than a person.

"The deputy gave Frey a warning citation for hunting without a license."
The solution: buy herself a "stupid deputy" hunting license.
They are in season right now.

Did gator have license for golden retriever hunting? And, this lady needs something bigger than a .22 to protect herself against gators.

Whatever happened to learning geography? Bradenton is in Florida, as the article makes very clear. You had to stretch across a whole country to make this a "liberal" issue!

They need better gun control because the gator survived.
It is getting so bad that if you shoot any vermin on your property, you can be charged.

Since the alligator was just three feet long the officer would have fed him for a couple weeks.

Shoot, shovel and shut up has to be the rule when our elected and appointed "leaders" have passed enough laws to criminalize Mother Teresa. They get away with it because we're too busy trying to make a living to watch them night and day - and they know it. No doubt one of the guys on the Wildlife Commission (or whatever they call it in Florida) has a brother-in-law who's a trial lawyer who will sue this gal on behalf of the alligator.
