May 13, 2006 The second round of DNA test results in the Duke University rape investigation show "no conclusive match'' to any lacrosse players, defense attorneys said, but a vaginal swab of the alleged rape victim produced DNA from a "single male source'' a man not on the lacrosse team who did not attend a March 13 party that was the site of the alleged rape.
Joe Cheshire, a defense attorney for Duke University lacrosse players at the center of a rape investigation, said the latest tests show no conclusive match to any of the lacrosse players' DNA. (ABC News
Defense attorney Joe Chesire declined to identify the mystery man or his connection to the alleged victim, but ABC News' Law and Justice Unit has learned that the unnamed source of the DNA is the alleged victim's "boyfriend," according to her mother.
ABC News is withholding the name of the man because he is apparently not a target of the investigation. Records indicate that Durham, N.C., police gave the "boyfriend'' a cheek swab to collect DNA on May 3, ABC News' Law and Justice Unit has learned exclusively.
It is unclear if or how the first DNA tests missed what appears to be the only foreign genetic material found on the alleged victim's body, defense attorneys said. Two Duke lacrosse players were indicted more than two weeks before the cheek swab was taken from the "boyfriend."
It is also unclear whether the alleged victim had sex with the "boyfriend" the night she claims to have been raped by three Duke lacrosse players. DNA experts tell ABC News that genetic traces of semen can remain in the body up to six days after intercouse.

Three men none of them Duke lacrosse players and all of whose identities are known by ABC News were listed in the report as providing DNA swabs to be tested against the samples found on the alleged victim.
One of the three men has told ABC News that he spoke to the alleged victim the night of the March 13 party. Another man is the alleged victim's boyfriend, and defense attorneys identified him in a news conference as the "single source" of DNA found to date in vaginal swabs of the accuser.
It is unclear why the three nonlacrosse players were included in the sampling.

You're right; one of them just spoke to the stripper the night of the party but it doesn't say he was actually there. The other is the boyfriend and the article doesn't say anything about the third.
I didn't hear a time from FNC. We need a telephone tree to call each other; otherwise we have to have FNC on all day and that just isn't good for my mental health :-)
I didn't originate it although I may well have posted the very first picture of a female lacrosse player with a lacrosse stick in hand featuring the handle.
Yes, girls ~ real girls ~ play lacrosse and know how to handle those sticks ~ more practiced than the boys for sure if their mothers made them sweep stuff up from time to time.
You seem to have missed some of our longer threads on the topic. Might well do a SEARCH and pick up on them.
And we've probably seperately come to different conclusions together... ;)
Oh.. and thread master you're being paged
I saw on the news last night, 3 homes were arsoned in Durham. "Suspicious Fires".
Your theory would be that vice is quantum in nature, with each type dominated by single users ~ like ho hooker ever stole a john's wallet, and no doper ever killed somebody.
Thank you, MaggieF.
We're in Aiken which is about 20 minutes from Augusta.
Between the storms and disgust at the majority of posters on FR these days, I just decided to limit my time on FR yesterday.
Turned our TV off in 1994. Use rabbit ears for special events/news; have shortwave and a gazillion radios all over the house. All in my home became computer literate at very young ages.
Yep...they said his parents were in town--just think, If it is David Evans--the K Street gang is here.
WOnder who is writing what will be a perfectly crafted statement?
It says that one of the three non-players is her "boyfriend".
Your phone tree idea, is one worth thoughtful consideration, Peach. On many levels.
Hi Maggie, are you back home?
Jim Robinson wrote the foreward for a book called Hillary's Secret War. FR is featured prominently in the book and it details how leftists were urged to come to conservative web sites like this one and cause dissent among the posters.
JR was able to trace where posters were posting from and there were lots of Clinton White House posters as well as coming from places like the Washington Post, etc.
What we're seeing now is an infiltration of paid opinion shapers, liberals just looking to divide Republicans, anti-immigration organizations who have organized an effort here, and the usual trolls.
I really want to spend time at the pool today but hate to miss the press conference; decisions, decisions, decisions.
Good morning ... I am back. :)
There are several freepers I would share my phone number with and we could have freepers take turns promising to be glued to the news and then others of us could carry on without having to have the increasingly annoying FNC on all day.
Go Cocks!!!!
And I have learned to love Steve Spurrier even though my Dawg husband and everyone else I know despises him, LOL!husband
My mother loves Spurrier too; my husband is non-committal which isn't like him at all :-)
Would that be unusual?? I suppose Crystal will be in a ladylike suit and not her work clothes.
