A committee said Monday that Duke University administration was slow in addressing the alleged rape involving members of the lacrosse team.
It said key administrators relied too heavily on initial reports from Durham police that the alleged victim "kept changing her story and was not credible."

I'm guessing the DPD's hands are tied. The DA has and has had control of this. Who's steering the DA?
Err.. umm... could it be Satan!
Something tells me that the Durham Police Department may not be too excited about helping Nifong. Why should they put their professional reputations on the line, when they knew from the very beginning that this was a red herring? I hope they come up with evidence that just destroys the prosecution.
She also has a well connected name.
And Locomotive, last night (Guilfoyle) that same black female lawyer mentioned how the accuser was recovering from injuries from a broomstick assualt.
No one says anything on either program about well, why wasn't that mentioned in her account in the search warrant. Why didn't the Search Warrant direct them to seize a broom?
Why did her father say she went out with her boyfriend hours after leaving the hospital. How could she have been assaulted with a broomstick by 3-20 drunken Frat boys (KEG Party) and spend 4-6 hours in the hospital.
he, he..
smile
TommyD,
Could it be that's why it leaked that Nifong directed investigators to break their own rules regarding photo IDs and who administers them?
Yeah, "she's the only one sober", but in the same statement she says it's a "pure T lie" that the AV showed up drunk... She says "they claim to have photos of her drunk, where are the pictures?, another lie"....
If she's the only one sober, how is it that the AV isn't drunk?
The story her is she changed her story and she had said 20 white men raped her.
What you have to understand is, much like a 5 minute rape can SEEM like a 30 minute period, so also 3 rapists can SEEM like 20 people. Or so we will hear from Wendy Murphy and Nancy Grace et al.
-----
Well, if Nancy and Wendy were consistent using that logic, then they'd be saying "Maybe it wasn't a broomstick?"
I think you are 100% on the mark.
Perdogg,
You make a good point with that list.
That list points right to a policically motivated District Attorney ignoring the facts to use the case to her personal advantage.
I agree with both of your observations. I don't think it's any coincidence that Chalmers has been so quiet, despite his ailing mother.
I read an editorial or Blog post somewhere last night.. where a 20 year Vet on the Wash, D.C. POLICE FORCE said he couldn't believe what he's hearing out of this case.
He said, he's never even heard of anything remotely close to this. He said the DA is so far out of line. He mentioned the 40-70 hours of interviews by Nifong when no one had been charged and the DNA test results were not in, in a case where the suspect has a criminal history.
I can't get the private mail to work, so I'll just ask this of everone here: Does anyone know if the defense team has seen the evidence and theories that have been published here on FR? If I were on trial, I would find a lot of the information here extremely valuable, and at least worth looking into.
Hope I'm wrong...
They have some really good invesigators so I'm sure they'll take input from wherever it's productive.
One thing I noticed last night in going back and looking for statements.. a lot of the stuff in on the web is aging out. The links are not good and the search engines aren't finding it in News. This case is like 2 months old now.
I thought of what you said when I couldn't find articles I had read earlier.. and links to newspapers just gave errors or empty responses.
IOW, bunch of dumbasses is scholar's clothing.

This prof says exactly.
Notice also how it is a big deal that the non-racist DPD did not tell the racists at Duke the race of the woman filing the complaint. That says it all right there, the the moron's on this committee view that Duke should have acted differently depending on the race of the woman.
Well my view is that it is better to have a PD that thinks race is not an important characteristic to relate to the university and a bunch of racists at Duke than the other way around.
Chalmers wasn't the first pick of certain city council members ...
