A committee said Monday that Duke University administration was slow in addressing the alleged rape involving members of the lacrosse team.
It said key administrators relied too heavily on initial reports from Durham police that the alleged victim "kept changing her story and was not credible."

I wonder if Kim "raped" Crystal to cover up a robbery?
Now you're thinking!
After hearing Kim's interview, it would not surprise me one bit if she wasn't involved up to her eyeballs...
When she failed to discuss whether she was in the bathroom or not but still she could call the claims that $100 bill was shoved under the BR door a "pure T lie" she branded herself as deceptive in my book...
She claims she was with the AV for the "whole time" before she wasn't with her and for the "whole time" following the time she wasn't with her... Couple this with what the cab driver says about her coming from behind the house then she must have been back there when the AV fell down, knocked herself goofy and scattered her belongings all over the back yard.... How convenient for her to now call the police and create a diversion against the boys at 610...
She's a playah....
I too notice that Duke admitted they failed to advise their students correctly. You are right that this may well cost Duke money.
I was pondering that myself; since they said it so many times, one could deduce that if only the word "black" had passed up the chair faster, bells and whistles should have gone off and all sorts of pandering should have kicked into place.
To me, that has a VERY ugly connotation. I don't know any other way to say this, so I'll just ask it: in people's minds, is it worse to rape a black woman than a white woman?
Are they saying that there are "special circumstances" or "considerations" that should have taken place because she was black?
If women and blacks honestly want to be equal, why, oh why must everything with them involve "special consideration?"
If special groups of people are continually on the lookout for things that offend them, then is it up to the rest of us to see every incident in life in that same light, as a situation that could "possibly" offend some designated group? Are we to live our lives like that?
I have that same feeling; it's not like we're waiting for just ONE more shoe to drop; it's like there is a closet full of shoes, continually dropping -- and none of them are good for the prosecution.
It's beyond comprehension.
What on earth is left for him to "have" that makes him think this case is a winner?
I'm with you.
It's almost like Nifong thinks he can "will" this case to fruition.
LOL! I love the analogy.
The DA has painted himself into a lonely corner.

___
Well according to people who watched H & C last night, Megan was reporting she had sources telling her the second DNA test result is good for the DA.
Who knows!
And how does he know that if the reports aren't back?
And when has he ever told the truth?
So why did the search warrant only say to look for $400?
eewwwww...I wasn't thinking along the lines of Kim actually raping her, rather that she figuratively did so by stealing the money.
Police work isn't pretty.

This story contradicts what Kim and Jsaon Bissey says about what time the dancers showed up.
I watched that segment also.
What Megan said is that a hair might be a match to a Duke lacrosse player.
Nevertheless, Megan said that such evidence is so weak that she will love to be the defense attorney for the matched-hair player, assuming that's the third player that accuser had mentioned before.
If the hair matches a lacrosse player that the accuser has not mentioned before, then the hair is a big dud.
And how does he know that if the reports aren't back?
And when has he ever told the truth?
_______________
Niofong could always get a prelimary report from the lab before the report is packaged and sent out onthe 15th.
You are correct on the second point.
Nifong has been blowing smoke since day one about his
so-called great evidence.
I bet the new DNA test is no different.
Please excuse my egotism here, cuz I'm beginning to sniff out a theory of why this case is so screwed up.
I'm thinking that the Durham Police, who got a nuisance call about the Buchanan house and a call about the drunk AV being in 2nd Dancer's car, had one reading of the situation-- Drunk AV, misdemeanors by the Lax guys.
AV at the hospital runs into a different set of law enforcement folks with substantially different training. A Duke University LEO and the hospital sexual assault specialist have a different reading-- Traumatized AV, major crime on Buchanan.
It takes 31 hours for the Durham Police to even get a connection with the AV and file a report. They still are not that excited about a story with a lot of problems.
Nifong has a connection with the Duke Police folks and jumps in on their assurance that the case is serious.
The situation at that point is all NO CASE with the Durham Police who see the problems. It is all GUILTY and BIG with Nifong and the pro-woman hospital and Duke folks who don't know any background about the AV.
The rest of the story is familiar to you folks and still unfolding.
This was my analysis as of 4/23. Nothing much has changed.
