They stated, "Every year since 1989, in about 25 percent of the sexual assault cases referred to the FBI where results could be obtained, the primary suspect has been excluded by forensic DNA testing. Specifically, FBI officials report that out of roughly 10,000 sexual assault cases since 1989, about 2,000 tests have been inconclusive, about 2,000 tests have excluded the primary suspect, and about 6,000 have "matched" or included the primary suspect."

The authors continued, "these percentages have remained constant for 7 years, and the National Institute of Justice's informal survey of private laboratories reveals a strikingly similar 26 percent exclusion rate."

I heard Wendy Murphy on the O'Reilly Factor last night make the rediculous assertion that 99% of those accused of rape were convicted.

Convictions (various crimes) per 1,000 offenders (England and the U.S.) See figure in upper right corner.

"More common than thought"? More common than thought by whom? Certainly the doctrine of the libbies is that no woman would ever lie about such a thing, so maybe false rape accusations are more common than thought by libbies. But I doubt normal people would be surprised if the truth were knowable and known.

Shocking. Next you're going to tell me that wives falsely accuse their husbands of molesting the kids to gain custody and a fat support check...? Say it ain't so.

Check out also today, Kathleen Parker's column

"My suspension of skepticism ends right there, but there's much more, including a prior rape claim by the "victim" at another college a few years earlier. Same victim, same scenario, except that she recanted in that case, saying she wasn't sure it was a rape because she was drunk. All the preceding was ruled inadmissible during Gorman's trial thanks to rape shield laws".

Yes, certain members of the MSM know they themselves are lying to the public.

The important fact is.. they don't care that the public knows they are lying. "Pig Napoleon" is happy, happy, happy!

I remember reading about that at the time. IIRC she didn't even say "Stop". She said "I have to go home, I have to go home" and it took him 15-20 seconds to translate from female into plain English that she wanted him to stop. Moral of the story "No means no but almost anything else can mean no too".

It's about time that folks start poking holes in the feminist lie that false accusations are common.

Want to stop them? Charge people who make false accusations. In Maine whenever that is brought up in the legislature, the usual suspects - far-left loonies and radical fems pull out all the stops to kill the bill.

It's about power and control, friends, that's all it is.

Some jurisdictions are claiming that if a woman is intoxicated, then she can't give consent, and therefore any sex would be rape.

I can't figure out - what if the MAN is intoxicated? Then is it rape, too?

What is truly amazing is the free pass these liars get. Did you see this thread?

Alleged Rape Victim Admits Making Up Story

Even when the "alledged victim" is a proven liar, the MSM still "values her privacy" and her name is not mentioned.

Then she gets a slap on the wrist (probably probation).

When in fact she should get the same sentence the "alledged rapist" would have received if found guilty.

I saw. I agreed. It stinks.

But you have to remember that women are victims. Always.

Or as a earlier generation would have said "It's a woman's prerogative to change her mind".

Last year, here in San Antonio, an idiot woman accused the Asst. Cheif of Police of rape. Turns out the idiot was lying. At the time of the alledged assault, the accused rapist was watching the Super Bowl with a dozen other people.

But did the Express News ID the lying SOS? Nope? Did the DA prosecute her? Nope again.

Now fast forward to this year. San Antonio just selected a new Police Cheif. Did Jerry Pittman (the accused) get the job?

HA HA HA (I laugh sarcastically) No Way! I am totally convinced the false charges against him had plenty to do with his being passed over.

False Rape Accusations May Be More Common Than Thought

Humans are imperfect.
Give anyone an opportunity to abuse any law, no matter how "well-intentioned"...

Some always will. 100% of the time.

so, basically, out of 25% of the cases the FBI COULD obtain, 8 out of 10 cases showed the primary suspect WAS indeed the possible or even probable perp......some inconclusive readings but mostly conclusive with only 20% of the 25% being excluded...

I would imagine that a 20% rate of falsehood would be pretty much the norm in most crimes....probably a low ball figure for some crimes.

I wish the women haters would get off this " false rape " accusation diatribe and their phoney baloney so-called statistics, because they're certainly are statistics out there that say MOST rape victims never even report what happened to them.....

I think the point of the article is that many man-hating feminists claim that women never lie about rape and so therefore all rape charges are automaticaly true, when, in fact, a significant fraction of them do lie.
