You may have been pinged twice to this thread if you belong to the OSS ping list as well...
Is anyone going to add the keyword Techsupportping to this thread, the birth of the techsupportping keyword?
In your TechSupport section on your page, where you keep the list, you can indicate which FReeper as expertise (or willingness) in what area. I've noticed quite a few on this thread indicating what they have experience in, and I don't think anyone is keeping track of these.
In this way, perhaps a person needing help would not have to post an entire thread, but merely FRmail the person they want to contact.
Thoughts, criticisms??
Good idea. Put me down for Mac especially Mac OS 9.
I think that might be a bit much to keep track of (Between the number of people and the number of possible skills), but if the people on the list are not willing to be pinged to a problem they dont know how to fix I can look into it..
Please add me.
Please add me to the Tech Support list. I'm usually happy to help people who ask for it.
Sounds like a grand idea. You can add me to the list. I'll try to be of help when I can, and may sometimes need some help myself. :)
I'm in - hopefully mostly as a supporter, not a supportee!
Please add me. I love Open Source! And I am usually in need of tech support.....
Plz add me to your list.
>>Go ahead and add me to it.
Don't mind trying to help out as long as folks understand that
* maybe we didn't see your message,
* maybe we don't have time right now,
* we don't have an answer so why clutter up the thread by mentioning that,
* sometimes you just need to call Dell and get a factual and timely response, :-),
* ... and anything else not covered by the above.<<
1. Good idea
2. Add me to the ping list please
3. Ken in Texas, I like you already - you have the proper cynical attitude toward tech and tech support which can only be gained through real world pain. :)
Please addme to the List as a support provider.
Specilizing in Routers and Switches and Microsoft config issues.

Yeah, very possible. Likely, even.
i believe that you will find Thunderbird rather feature rich. A couple of dedicated Eudora users have made the switch and never looked back. There are (for example) features that permit the use of traditional webmail outlets, such as Yahoo!, Hotmail, Gmail, and others from inside the Thunderbird email client.
Yup -- I do something like that now using a combination of Eudora, and programs called YPOPs and Mailwasher. It'd be nice to have one program do it all, tho.
> ... for some reason Eudora has been crashing in a large way over the past 24 hours or so.
I still use Eudora 3.01 on my XP box. It's simple, sturdy and unobtrusive.
Great idea. Coupla suggestions...
Maybe the experts would be willing to type up some FAQs for people to consult *before* running to the help desk. Like the HTML Sandbox page.
Beware of hackers...someone who responds, Type "rm *" into the command line.
Add me to the list. I am always happy to help when I can.
LOL. I've spent time taking support calls in the past, and now help out my church's office and a local missionary with computer things. Just getting the right information to begin troubleshooting is often the hardest part!
