DURHAM, N.C., April 22 The Duke University lacrosse team's troubles began with a phone call.
A team captain using an assumed name called an escort service to hire two exotic dancers for a party on March 13. Last week, two Duke players were indicted (snip)
To all but some of the people at the party, the truth of what happened that night to one of the dancers, who accused three white players of raping her in a bathroom, is a mystery.
Mr. Nifong says a sexual assault occurred, based on hospital records and the account of the accuser, who is black. A second dancer and a neighbor corroborated some of the accuser's details.
Defense lawyers say the accuser was drunk when she arrived at the party, and fabricated the assault. Taxi and bank receipts and dormitory access records prove that Mr. Seligmann could not have raped the woman, his lawyer says. (snip)
About 8:30 p.m., a 27-year-old single mother of two answered her phone. That woman, a Durham native, was enrolled at North Carolina Central, a historically black college on the south side of town. Its patchy grass and simple brick buildings are a world away from Duke.
When she arrived about 11:30 p.m., she was wearing a negligee and shiny white high heels,... (snip)
The accuser said later that both women re-entered the house after one player apologized for the behavior during their dance. She said two men then pulled her into a bathroom, locked the door and said, "Sweetheart, you can't leave."
It was then, she told the police, that Mr. Seligmann forced her to perform oral sex, and Mr. Finnerty raped and sodomized her and the third suspect strangled her, according to a transcript of a photo identification session with police on April 4. (snip)

Look up bunnyhole entertainment. They have a web-site, and the stripper/whore you are so vigorously defending listed them as one of her employers on her arrest record.
The Lacrosse team was not investigated before their season was cancelled. Check it out.
You are wrong.

Look it up-warning graphic nudity.
This is the employer of your "victim".
It was listed on her conviction record.
I think a lot of freepers could as easily stereotype you because you barhop on weekends as you have stereotyped some athletes at Duke. Being too much of a lady, I will not do that to you. But you do get the point, I hope.
I wouldn't be surprised if you couldn't pay the boys to have sex with her.
That seems a bit extreme to me; I'd be sad if I didn't have any of my weekends at college my freshman year. While I didn't go to many parties, I did enjoy attending football games, getting involved in campus activities, volunteering, going to cultural events..
There's lots of bad stuff that might happen to kids when there at college, but there comes a point when you've got to provide them with the tools they need to protect themselves and just trust them enough.
Sounds like something that a struggling single mom might do for extra cash. Plus, what does it say about the guys if they went to an explicit escort service.
Plus, the lacrosse coach was warned to keep his players under control by the administration in the excellent Newsweek piece this week. Frankly, I think that that warning and the fact that the players weren't reigned in was telling.

This poster thinks the Duke kids are rapists, and the strippers are victims.
And I'll repeat what I said before:
I think a lot of freepers could as easily stereotype you because you barhop on weekends as you have stereotyped some athletes at Duke. Being too much of a lady, I will not do that to you. But you do get the point, I hope.
Let's throw out the Constitutional assumption that someone is presumed innocent until PROVEN guilty. Let's assume that all white males take for granted that black females are nothing but sexual objects. Echoes of the ole marse taking a slave woman as concubine. Let's assume that the evidence could not possibly be correct if it does not reflect the conclusion we have already reached.
Let's assume that people never lie to the police.
Could rape have happened? Yes. But reading over the facts as presented so far I am skeptical over the rape charge. But heck I won't be on the jury so my skepticism really does not matter. What will matter is what the jury decides should this case ever come to trial.
I also went to college but managed to avoid nasty behaving frat boys or their ilk. How did I manage this. By being selective of whom I associated with. It is called using good and prudent judgement.
It is also called letting people know that you are a lady and expect to be treated as such. I would say that 99% of the time I was treated like a lady. No matter where I was or whom I was with. If not I did not hesitate to remind that person of their lack of home training. By the way the cut direct still works.
Speaking as a woman. It takes us a bit longer to reach that state of easy acceptance than it does a guy to reach his state of "run it up the flagpole and see if anyone salutes." So a female might be mentally receptive before she is physically receptive.
Good grief, I hope you never get to serve on a jury.
LOL.
I like your way of phrasing it 8-)
I see that you've already been ripped for this incredibly stupid remark. Hopefully you'll find a different place to post your tripe.
Where in the world are you people coming from?
You are taking a very big risk by attempting to meet a suitable guy at a bar. And no you should not have to wear a large Red A. But you should be aware that in any physical confrontation with some guy, you figured was safe cause he did not look like a sleazy frat boy you will most likely lose. If he wants to assault, rape, and/or murder you- he will. So if you think the benefits outweigh the risks go for it.
Good dad. If my daughter went away to college. She did not since the college she attends is about 6 miles away. I would buy her a handgun and have her take shooting lessons. Then I would make sure she applied for a conceal carry permit in whatever town she went to school in.
Nothing like a gun to bring about true equality of the sexes.
She would also have a big mean dog if she lived off campus.
You don't think any of us had been to college honey? Get off your high horse.
