DURHAM, N.C., April 22 — The Duke University lacrosse team's troubles began with a phone call.
A team captain using an assumed name called an escort service to hire two exotic dancers for a party on March 13. Last week, two Duke players were indicted (snip)
To all but some of the people at the party, the truth of what happened that night to one of the dancers, who accused three white players of raping her in a bathroom, is a mystery.
Mr. Nifong says a sexual assault occurred, based on hospital records and the account of the accuser, who is black. A second dancer and a neighbor corroborated some of the accuser's details.
Defense lawyers say the accuser was drunk when she arrived at the party, and fabricated the assault. Taxi and bank receipts and dormitory access records prove that Mr. Seligmann could not have raped the woman, his lawyer says. (snip)
About 8:30 p.m., a 27-year-old single mother of two answered her phone. That woman, a Durham native, was enrolled at North Carolina Central, a historically black college on the south side of town. Its patchy grass and simple brick buildings are a world away from Duke.

The accuser said later that both women re-entered the house after one player apologized for the behavior during their dance. She said two men then pulled her into a bathroom, locked the door and said, "Sweetheart, you can't leave."
It was then, she told the police, that Mr. Seligmann forced her to perform oral sex, and Mr. Finnerty raped and sodomized her and the third suspect strangled her, according to a transcript of a photo identification session with police on April 4. (snip)

By this version, if they were in the bathroom for either 10 or 20 minutes, and then went outside, Seligmann is in the clear. He left in a cab at 12:19 after walking a couple of blocks to where he was picked up. 20 minutes would put this at 12:24 and Seligmann was gone for 5 minutes by then. 10 minutes would put it at 10:14, but again, they went outside, and if there were still a few minutes left before they went back inside, Seligmann still could not have had time to participate in an attack.

Nifong's "independent" DNA analysis will probably do it, just the way "memory refreshment therapy" has worked for individuals like Janet Reno to get terrified three year olds to testify to nonexistent bizarre sexual perversions by targeted day care workers.
Maybe that is because their were really only "Minute Men". Remember there were just these three that had sex with her.
From what I have read, the accuser picked three men out of a lineup comprised of photos of all 45 fraternity guys. There were no "null" pictures. This is a multiple choice test with no wrong answers. Anybody she chose (at random) would qualify.

DNA, SchmeeNA. You're talking hard scientific evidence....actually the LACK of it.
This is all about jury selection. With the appropriate, chip-on-its-shoulder, race and class-minded jury, the prosecutor only needs to come up with an appropriate pre-school level nursery rhyme (ala "it does not fit, so you must acquit") and the "rich" white boys are as good as behind bars.

You'd make a great jurist. You can tell that someone is a violent criminal with just one glance.
Two questions come to mind. 1. Can a medical exam show the difference between rape and rough consensual sex?
2. Just how big is this bathroom?
