ping!
I wonder about your character, too, Ms. Roberts.
Seriously though. Nifong has got to be banging his head against the wall considering the dumb*sses on who his future depends. I hope he gets a big fat headache. Can't wait until that's introduced in court.
And if FB is saying that he's guilty of misconduct, how would she possibly think she could continue the case. Anyway, if she's elected, when would she be sworn in? The way it's going it could all be over by them.
I see that Freepers were about 3 days ahead of CBS in piecing this all together (the timeline).
It is very distressing that Finnerty's deal in his D.C. problem may now come unglued because it provided that he not only not be ~convicted~ for another crime but that he not be ~arrested~. If he has a strong alibi in the LAX matter, it would be absolutely outrageous for him to be punished in D.C. because of Durham ~allegations~.
There's been a lot of detail about Seligmann, not much about Finnerty. Have witnesses come forward who were with him at the Mexican restaurant? Do any restaurant employees remember him?
The beans he ate would be sufficient alibli, one would think. :o)
Thief = Liar
I presume that Seligmann's attorneys are keeping quiet the name of his taxicab companion until Nifong announces the name of John Doe #3.
I can't wait to see the defense attny use the phrase, "If the glove don't fit you must acquit!" when this thing goes to trail.
Trish Regan still working at CBS? I thought she'd been released from them.
Yeah right! She shows up earlier, gets raped, performs for the guys at 12:05am then hangs around for another 35 minutes in or not in the bathroom.
Also on Monday, a judge agreed to a change so that Roberts would no longer have to pay a 15 percent fee to a bonding agent. District Attorney Mike Nifong signed a document saying he would not oppose the change.
"It seems she is receiving very favorable financial treatment for what she is now saying," Thomas said.
Mark Simeon, Roberts' attorney, said the bond conditions were changed because Roberts is not considered a flight risk. Nifong, who hasn't spoken with reporters about the case in weeks, didn't return a call seeking comment.
This DA is so blatantly transparent it is outrageous. She's not a flight risk but the acccused need to post $400,000 each. And this after a guy yesterday was charged with murder and given a $50,000 bond presumably because he is 1/8 the flight risk as the Duke Duo.
The DA wears no clothes!
Wonder why she's not a flight risk ANYMORE? Heh.
My fear is that Finnerty may be forbidden to drink due to his plea bargain for the Washington DC bar fight.
Is this why we have not heard more about Finnerty's receipts and activities at the time of the 3 minute striptease act? If he was out drinking at the time, he obviously did not rape anybody, but it may be a troublesome alibi.
If I were the MSM and wanted to take the focus off of something like immigration-an issue on which I was losing-I might try to make a simple case of rowdy students, an untruthful stripper, and prosecutorial misconduct into a nationally significant case of privileged white boys and oppressed black girls. I could always blame the prosecutor for everything if it started looking like I was the bad guy.
Seligman's timeline, photos, and evidence just keep getting better and better. He needs to sue this sorry DA and his accuser for malicious prosecution. The DA refused to look at exculpatory evidence. I'd love to see the Seligman and maybe some Duke alums keep Mr. Nifong busy defending a civil suit the next few years. What he did was wrong. What do you expect from a Democrat?
