Breaking overnight from Chris Cummo at ABC GMA:
Case against at least one Duke defemdant unraveling fast.
Defendant Seiligman went to bank ATM while rape supposedly happening.
12:02 Time stamped photos show girl arriving. Girl leaves, comes back, call friends on cell phone does other things. 12:19 Seiligman calls cab dispatcher 12:24 Seiligman takes cab to bank miles away, uses ATM card (photos show it is him.) 12:42 after walking back to dorm, Seiligman uses security card to enter dorm. Does not leave.
Also, Seiligman was never interviewed by cops. DA seeking reelection simply took "Dancers" word that he raped her.
"Why would he go to a bank machine in the early morning hours if he was just going back to his dorm?"
He bought food after the ATM. Ever been out late, out of cash, and had the munchies? I've taken a cab to an ATM, had the cab drive me to a fast food joint, and then gone home countless times.
This isn't fishy. Not even a little bit.
Peach, make sure you're back before Nancy Grace ... I can't do it alone. :)
Would you have shown her pictures two weeks ago of the players with their shirts off that were taken ten days after the incident?
It's actually quite difficult to change the embedded information for an image file. You can edit the image and save it, but then you will have the fingerprints of the editing program.
Obviously a hacker could attempt to alter the info, but that would take an unreasonable amount of time an skill, considering the unanticipated motive for doing so.
A recent case from the U.S. Supreme Court says you need the consent of both partners in a domestic couple to search their residence. I wonder how that applies to three lacrosse players living together in a house? I suspect it will be read broadly to protect the defendant, so they would probably need the consent of all players who lived in the house.
Well, that's the story at this moment. Hold tight, I'm sure we'll see yet another shift in this ever-evolving tale. Nifong is still working on the details.
What does the media do? They immediately report the victim's name and drag her through the mud.
Excellent point!!!
I don't think the prosecution has provided a specific time, just specific events. The defense has offered their own time line to prove the accused innocence.
That's why the defense was taunting him all last week. Also he had to arrest someone before the election. That's all there is to that schedule.
They were searching Finnerty's dorm for his computer, did I hear that right on FNC?
He's been suspended, left town, and probably took it with him. LOL
Now that you mention it, I remember somebody posting an exerpt from the Hearld-Sun stating that the paper had called all cab companies serving Durham (I think they said 12 companies) and none had a record of this trip.
Like I said earlier...It seems whenever the facts get in the way of her story, Crystal invents new theories to justify her version of things...
I'm getting angrier by the minute!
The other DNA results that are supposed to be released "any minute"....will the defense get those results like the did the other?
That is exactly what was on all the Duke/Durham forums when this first happened.
I made the same mistake. There are over 30 cab companies that serve the Durham area; they skillfully said "all the companies we contacted did not give the ride". Anyway, apparently the AP corroborated the story by interviewing the ACTUAL cab driver, who remebered them because of a good tip and some good smelling food. Check it out upthread.
A search of Finnerty's dorm room Tuesday, however, was a clear sign that the investigation is rapidly continuing. A resident assistant told WRAL that Durham police investigators searched Seligmanns and Finnerty's rooms at Edens 2C Residence Hall for two hours Tuesday night.
Sources tell WRAL that the officers were looking for Finnerty's computer and that they seized several undisclosed items.

No, he cannot.
He has to notify the players whose DNA was tested; by law.
And since he got those indicttments yesterday, the clock has started ticking: NC is an open files discovery case; they are entitled to everything he has. Yesterday.
That's great and all, but the H-S said the 12 companies they contacted. A FReeper in Durham (I think) pointed out that he did a quick Yellow Page search and found at least 30 cab companies that serve the Durham area. Also, there is a cab driver who gave a written deposition to defense lawyers saying he remembers picking up the guys and bring them to a fast-food joint before bringing them to campus.
He's probably in on it too. /sar
I do not know......that would be cool!
