Dixie Chicks aren’t ready to ‘Make Nice’ [more Bush bashing]

The Dixie Chicks release their new album, “Taking the Long Way,” late in May, but don’t look for them to soften up.

A few stations around the country are playing the first single, “Not Ready to Make Nice,” which refers to the backlash the band received for speaking against the Bush administration in 2003.

The song features the lyric “I’m mad as hell and I can’t bring myself to do what it is you think I should,” and the video shows the trio as leads in “The Crucible,” Arthur Miller’s play based on the Salem witch trials.

The video can be seen on the usual suspects — AOL, Quicktime, Yahoo! Music, VH1 and MTV — and on the Chicks’ site, dixiechicks .com.

I heard the one that started the group that they fired, married a cowboy and won the lottery(good for her!)

The thing that bugs me the most about that natalie is the fact that she has NO NECK! It just bugs the shit out of me!

"She still doesn't get it and most likely never will. I see she's still insulting country fans. Sorry they were so bad to her." /sarcasm

I agree - she definitely bit the hand that fed her.

I'm definitely not a fan of Natalie, but I am a HUGE fan of her husband, Adrian Pasdar.

Can a Dixie Chicks CD be used as a substitute for a clay pigeon?

Yes but you'll get more bang for the buck by using it as a cow enema.

I bought their first album...and trashed it after those treasonous comments by Maines. It really wasn't all that good...like other albums, I bought it based on liking one or two songs...usually I find I like the rest. Not so with this group.

Maines is so typical of the Hollywood libs...says what she thinks, is shocked that the world does not uniformly laud her for it, sobs to an interviewer and then comes back years later with a victim's attitude and preemptive remarks should she learn her audience still has its back to her.

Wonder if she'll get some kind of award or something from some soppy lib group...for her 'courage'.

Go away, Dixie Twits.

Wow! Those chicks really know how to stick it to Bush and push the limits of free speech!

The people in "The Crucible" were crushed to death under stone walls after being falsely accused of Satanism...

There you go with that whole logic thing again. Weirdo. :)

It would make a decent coaster. Much like the AOL CDROMs that come in the mail every other week. You'll probably want to paint it so you don't accidently throw up in your drink.

I guess they're still "not ready to" sell albums, either.

LOL! I guess that they haven't learned that little rule about PO'ing most of your core audience and potential buyers.

That, and her apparent lack of a neck.

And overabundance of chins.

OK, so maybe she slimed down some, but this image was definitely headed towards the lines of the joke "More Chins than a Chinese phone book".

Yes, but don't waste your money
Take a clay pigeon and write Dixie Chicks on it.

"Dixie Chicks aren’t ready to ‘Make Nice'"

This works out well. I'm not ready to buy their music.
