Well Folks,

If you like Bo Bice, MAD TV has a parody of him too ( the man really looks like him ).

His dissing didn't help Ace last week, did it? He sometimes tries to tarnish a contestants image to ruin their chances. Hence the 'You look like a drunk father at a wedding'. This conjures up the image of an older man making a fool of himself. Not exactly helpful to that contestant, is it?

Also, viewership was down last week.

It will be interesting to see if AI apologizes to Ace on live TV for their editing stunt that made it look like Queen didn't like him, not that Queen's Brian May has commented on it.

If you really want to parody someone on the show, the most interesting material would be Kellie Pickles herself.

Imagine the actress complete with Tarantula eyes and "what's a ballsy?" naivette. It's a scriptwriter's dream.

C'mon SNL, GO FOR IT !

Now you know why TPTB wants to keep Gherkin as long as they can...

Maybe they realize how phoney and fake she is and don't like her either.

She said her mom left when she was 2 years old. But, she doesn't mention that her mom had custody of her when she was in the 4th and 5th grades.

Which reminds me. I don't recall who, but someone had posted that they weren't sure the picture of Kellie in the slutty prom dress was really her or not. Found this, which verifies that yes, it's her.

I am trying to create a list (if memory serves me right ) of
famous entertainers have been parodied by Saturday Night Live (and who parodied them). Here are those who come to mind :

Frank Sinatra
James Brown
Stevie Wonder
Ray Charles
Joe Cocker
Prince
Mick Jagger
Keith Richards
Elvis Presley
Sammy Davis Jr.
Eddie Vedder (Adam Sandler used to mock him all the time)
Meat Loaf (Chris Farley would go over the top on this one)
Michael Jackson
Bono
Madonna
Bruce Springsteen
George Michael (Dana Carvey)
Yul Brenner (Billy Crystal)
Liza Minnelli (Nora Dunn)
David Byre (Rich Hall)
Liberace (Phil Hartman)
La Toya Jackson (Victoria Jackson)
Donny Osmond (Gary Kroeger)
Marie Osmond (Juliea Louis-Dreyfus)
Linda Rondstadt (J L-D)
David Crosby (Jon Lovitz)
Michael Jackson (Tim Meadows, Chris Rock)
Pearl Bailey (Garrett Morris)
Ella Fitzgerald (G M)
Tina Turner (G M)
Steve Lawrence (Mike Myers)
Michael Bolton (Kevin Nealon)
Barbra Streisand (Larraine Newman)
Axl Rose (Adam Sandler)
Bono (Adam Sandler)
Bruce Springsteen (Adam Sandler)
Cyndi Lauper (Pamela Stephenson

http://www.charlotte.com/mld/charlotte/entertainment/television/13893587.htm

snip

"My dad was a drug user and an alcoholic. So I lived off and on with my grandparents. Whenever my dad would get locked up, I'd move in with my grandparents and wait until he got out and got straightened out again."

Unbeknownst to Pickler, her mother returned to Albemarle (about 40 miles northeast of Charlotte). Their paths crossed in a chance encounter when Pickler was in the fourth grade.

"My grandparents and I were eating out and my mother was in there with some of her friends. I don't know how I knew it was her, but we made eye contact. She went to court trying to fight for custody of me."

Her mother won, Pickler said, and for the next two years had custody. "That whole time my grandparents were trying to get me back."

They eventually succeeded. Pickler's mother left. She and her daughter haven't been in contact for years. Her father, meanwhile, was arrested several times in North Carolina -- drunken driving, assault, armed robbery. "He'd get out of prison, get on drugs really bad, get tied up with the wrong people," she said.

end snip

So, the questions rise. Who is that little boy? How old are you in the 4th grade. 9 or 10? Making 5th grade - 10 or 11. The boy is 6, Kellie is 19. She would have been 13 when the little boy was born.

Her paternal grandparents got custody of her from her mother, before that little boy was born.

Well yes, actually.
Sympathy and empathy votes?

Ace in the race still & Taylor's thriving.

Take Paris for instance. Just how is she to interpret his 'weird' statement?

I thought Simon looked ignorant of rock history, just like he did when he dissed Taylor's enthusiastic performances.

Paris was doing what Cher could always do. That is, take any look, make it her own, and still sound sincere and wonderful to listen to.

What the music scene needs is some real, original rockers who haven't already approached their 60th birthday. People who won't sell out just to shortcut a path to fame. That would be Taylor and Paris. Eliot could do more mellow stuff, like the Moody Blues (or Rod Stewart).

Can anyone seriously imagine listening to a whole CD or concert of Kathy, Chris, or Ace? Reality check.

Give her a pass on that one. This is a conservative website. Whether she's helping her grandfather raise her brother, or had a kid when she was very young and didn't get an abortion, she chose life and responsibility.

Did you see her with the kid? He's crazy about sis....or mom.

If its her son, she gets a pass for not aborting, but it still makes her a liar. Fantasia took a lot of heat for being an unwed mother, even though she was raped.

We'll see how those sympathy votes play out for Ace this week. :)

Yes, Taylor is thriving in spite of all Simon's denigrating remarks!

What does the little boy call her?

I think he called her "Kelli" on the Wednesday show.

If the child is hers, it's possible AI decided to handle it this way (they have done some dumb stuff this year). It also wouldn't be the first time in history a family treated a surprise from a teenage child as a younger sibling.

Just hypothesing.

Compared to a Paris Hilton type, who has no excuse for disgusting behavior, Kelli seems to be honestly from a background without a lot of options.

There's a lot to pick apart a heckled Pickler for,
but postulating her possible parenting is pretty
presumptive and premature, imo.

Is it better to let the little boy grow up thinking his mother abandoned him? In this day and age people don't hide it like they used to. I would think having their son in and out and back into prison all the time would be a lot more embarrassing.

If he's calling her Kellie, it's a safe bet that AI doesn't know. They'd build her up either way.
