I thought Simon looked ignorant of rock history, just like he did when he dissed Taylor's enthusiastic performances.
Paris was doing what Cher could always do. That is, take any look, make it her own, and still sound sincere and wonderful to listen to.
What the music scene needs is some real, original rockers who haven't already approached their 60th birthday. People who won't sell out just to shortcut a path to fame. That would be Taylor and Paris. Eliot could do more mellow stuff, like the Moody Blues (or Rod Stewart).
Can anyone seriously imagine listening to a whole CD or concert of Kathy, Chris, or Ace? Reality check.
That made me laugh! No way! :)
