Why I Support President Bush and the ZOT!

Posted on 03/19/2006 6:29:28 AM PST by thousand dollar hamburger

I think he has a sincere desire to help everyone. he has even gone out of his way to embrace people like Hillary Clinton and Ted Kennedy. He does not hold grudges as shown by his willingness to bend over backwards to allow terrorist supporting nations to operate our ports. We need this type of benevolent leader.

Our President is not a cheapskate, as he has opened up our budget to give to anyone who might need anything.

Aliens from all nations are welcomed into our great country without having to deal with mundane bureaucratic State approval. Cutting government red tape -- that's the Bush way!

Yes, our Prseident even realizes that occupying as many countries around the world as possible is the best way to spread American ideals.

We are truly lucky to have this great man. I suggest that at 10:00 AM EST, we all stand up in unison and shout -- HOORAY FOR BUSH!!!

She said that some of them did, but the children who "role-play" squirrel characters were offended! It's possible that they didn't quite get it - youngsters' reading comprehension is not what it once was :-).

So I was right to call them squirrelly.

At least they're further up the food chain than those DU folk, who are just nuts.

LOL! Some of the kids are as young as 8. Exposure to poetry is good for them!

I thought about writing a story about a squirrel. Now I'm not too sure.

It sounds as though these kids can be pretty picky.

They wouldn't want the squirrel to be eaten by a dog; they take it personally!

My story does not use dogs as adversaries, but it is not without tragedy. I had in mind to use the death of a squirrel on the road as a starting point.

The kids wouldn't like that, either, I'm sure, but at least when they see that grim disaster in real life, they will be able to think of my story and have hope.

A story has to start somewhere.

Our of tragedy is often born hope.

I suppose that's true, but the poor squirrel is still dead!

How the other squirrels react is the story.

Thank you for the Easter wish. After church I spent the afternoon relaxing with the family and watching "Ben-Hur". Less bloody than Gibson's film, I've always thought "Ben-Hur" more accurately captured the transformational power of Christ than any other "Jesus" film made.

I've seldom seen a documentary about Jesus or anything pertaining to him or his teachings that I felt was "accurate."

My favorite is, and always has been "Ben-Hur". Some may object, "That's not a 'Jesus' film," but it is. The subtitle of both the book and the film is "a Tale of The Christ". Jesus doesn't speak at all, in the film, but his power to transform lives is, perhaps, more potently portrayed in the life of Judah Ben-Hur than in any of the umpteen docu-dramas that have been made.
